Skateboardman" I didn't end up stopping at the yard, just not enough time,. Had to get down here to Greensboro,NC for am delivery. Actually went by the yard around 10 am. I'm surprised you didn't pass me, considering how slow I drive.
ridgerunner77 Thanks this. -
No dog in this fight, but right there is the huge difference between you and the majority of other O/Os leased there, LS, or any other place you find your own loads.BAYOU Thanks this.

When Mercer telle you a rate per mile, is it based on practical miles or hhg/short miles? I am starting to realize there are still a lot of companies using hhg miles.
-
I'm not sure, but I've been keeping track of my miles. Lately my miles have been short by 20%.Lone Ranger 13 Thanks this.

that probably has something to do with individual loads than system wide cause my miles are almost always with in 15miles of what they say. occasionally it's more and I figure it's due to routing differences. also, every company uses a different program, and every one will come up short on some routes.
another thing to remember is Speedometer calibration and how it effects the odometer, I read it can be as much as 3 percent just from tires wearing down. -
Im in mercertown rawrrrrr.... so nice here
-
That depends on the customer, if the customer pays on short miles then short miles are what we see, the agents won't put the practical miles in on those loads instead because it makes the rate look worse. If it is a load that the agent bids on then that is most often practical miles, some of our customers pay on practical miles as well.Lone Ranger 13 Thanks this.

did you deliver a coil to Greensboro by any chance, I delivered a coil at around 9 am , saw a dark blue t600 and another mercer there, I have a blue t-600

yep, my gals dad was an o/o, truckdrivers daughter, lol. she hates for me to deadhead home, never complains if I stay out to pull another load. I showed her how to check the loadboard and she checks it. she has decided that wha the truck does affects her economic well-being so she participates, lol. you trying to say I got an unfair advantage, lol
