Thankful to read you made it through safe, Pony!!! I was worried about any of y'all who may have been in that area. One of my drivers has family east of OK; I checked to make sure the family was okay, and they were safe. Only thing was lost power.
Otter & Pete, thanks for the landmark idea of where Morris is. I've been to Joliet, and I've been around ChiTown, but don't remember seeing Morris.
I'm hopeful none of the "family" was around these tornadoes or the following flooding issues.
Where are you

Teddy_bear, you show to be very caring and very nice to your drivers.
As you know, most DSPs are not like that. My former load planner was like you. She really cared about her drivers, she did the best for them, always thorough, always thoughtful, helpful... she was just GREAT and drivers liked her a lot. But, company laid her off
I hear that is common.... Seems companies don't like dsp and load planners to be "too nice" and helpful to their drivers....
You know, a lot of jealousy... They see someone getting along well with their drivers and say that is favoritism... So, dsp better be an ********** in order to keep their job. Does it make sense?
Now waiting at this shipper for 3:30 hrs so far.... Picking up flour.... and it seems they are making it... the flour is not ready yet...
Then, live unload at freaking 4 am Monday next to Washington DC.... I hate these type of loads!
Then, have no clue where will be going next. DARN! I miss my former load planner so much!
Dave 1960 and teddy_bear6506 Thank this. -

Shipper here said they don't have the product yet... Said not only me, but another truck (sitting at the dock since this morning) and one more truck that will arrive later don't have load yet...
Said blame it on management... How do they order trucks to come p/up a load they don't have?
Well... I will not get upset about stupid stuff like this any more... I am glad I am not the only one who screws up sometimes...
Cooking some vegetables here... will take a nap... Who knows what time I will leave this place... May have to drive all night... Who knows.... Hey Dave! No plan survives first contact!

The hubby has said that for years. He is a huge fan of football and at one time was going to spray paint the yard green and spray paint the yard lines and goal posts.

Me too, especially if I had lots of it in the bank.
