That might be the norm, but this ad said switch BACK to USA and get up to 5000. So I would take that as ex drivers coming back to USA.

Yeah, I agree with that, I found out the hard way when I went back, because they paid for my CDL training they wouldn't pay the sign on bonus. I got $100 for 4 days of orientation

One thing it says "Up To". Another thing, "Be able to be out on the road 2 weeks at a time". I don't believe that crap. They took that away from me within two weeks of working there. They told me I had to stay out 3 weeks minimum. Policy change. I don't hate USA. But my policies can change too. I get paid a tad more than actual miles where I work now. I'm not giving that up. No more zip code pay.

Not to keep ragging on USA Truck, but I found this from the ad to be a bit comical:

Modern Equipment (about 40% truth-remember that the trlr is a piece of equipment, most of their trlrs are an avg of 7 years old and getting worse)

The standard tractor within USA Truck's fleet is the.
Kenworth T660's (very small %-I wouldnt call that standard)
    International Pro Star
Straight 10 Transmissions (F'kg LIE) maybe 30-40% are straight
Air Ride (rear of tractor only-the steers will beat you to death with the leaf springs) usa does not currently have front air ride that I'm aware of
    Power Steering and Cruise Control
Comfortable Sleepers (except for the $30 mattress that's just basically springs covered with a thin layer of cloth-with a nice pee coating)
QualComm Satellite Communication with In-Cab email (don't confuse in cab email with what most consider "email") in cab email means that you get to send your fm a very archaic looking freeform message
    No Slip Seating
You can take your truck home on off time (but company policy states that you must also take a trlr)
ALL OUR TRUCKS ARE NOW EQUIPPED WITH
AUXILIARY POWER UNITS ( APU) True...but do they all work reliably? none of the ones i had ever did

Yea. They told me I had to start staying out 3 weeks. When I did come home, they would try to put me under a load that I would have to leave early to deliver. I told them I would pick it up and take it to the Dallas yard. They said no. I had to deliver. I said No I don't have to deliver.
I was 30 miles from the house. I told them my patience was wearing thin. I was due 3 days at Home. I was taking the full 3 days. They didn't like that. I had a bonehead for a dispatcher. These people I work for now are nice. No orientation. No hassle. Phone is picked up after 3 or 4 rings. I think I'll hang out.
