Good choice on the GPS Doc. I use the same exact one (7 inch model). It's too big for the windshield for me. I have it mounted as a swing-arm of the right side of the console, just above my Qualcomm. Gives me a "pilot" kind of feeling.

Coke loads usually suck. I had a similar experience with that crappy Arizona tea in Pennsylvania a couple of months ago.

Always remember this about chicks in truckstops- if a gal can't get laid in a truckstop, she is either a junkie or just not very good at her chosen profession. Either way, it's not worth the effort.

I wasn't suggesting that anybody should drive after sitting for 12 hours at a shipper..but for logging purposes and to not violate HOS to get off the property, you shouldn't have to waste those hours on duty. And they can demand all they want but if I'm tired..I'm stopping. I just document everything

well the problem is that your 14 hour is still ticking even if you go into off duty in between the stuff

    DocWatson and scottied67 Thank this.

That's true but remember going off duty preserves the 70 hour clock, live to fight another day lol. Losing 12 hours like that when you could have saved it for driving a day or two later multiplied by your mileage rate, say $0.30 is close to $200 bucks in revenue. Giving away 12 hours on duty only shortens the 70 hour clock and forces a 34 hour break later in the week both of which one is not paid for.

But if you sit 10 consecutive..it resets the clock....or if you go to the sleeper for 8 it entends the clock.

only if so, they can finish right before you reset and kick you off the property

Wow I am not surprised in the least bit. Absolutely amazing. You know I saw a sign.near the shipping office window.that roughly e appreciate you taking our freight but once you are loaded, leave the propertmmediaetly. You.will not park here overnight" . .

I.wonder what it will take before Coke treats us outside drivers with a little respect.

Perhaps a "Boycott Coke Shipments Week"? Next time you get a Preplan for a Coke shipment decline with an ETA that is much later than the requirements, that'll get the Preplan pulled from you. Enough folks start balking at moving Coke freight, maybe they'll start to feel some motivation to join humanity.
