If he would have told me it was an issue to begin with even though he directed me over it I would have told him to call me with a quote. Would have been glad to pay for it out of pocket.
The messed up part of DAC reports.

Hell, I had a lady prime driver back into the side of my sleeper in Texas and I didn't let her report it until I got hold of the owner and convinced him that it was just another dent, no big deal. She hugged me and about broke down in tears when I told her to forget about it. I knew what would happen to her if they heard about it.

When you were filling out applications you signed a consent form for them to collect and disclose your personal information.
Now it is time to withdraw that consent,it no longer benefits you in anywat for them to be disclosing your "file"..........in an interview simply state you had issues with identity theft and were advised to "tie up" loose ends.Which is the reason you withdrew you consent to disclosure.airforcetoo Thanks this. -
I guess I got a ding too I rubbed a fence post backing In to a tight dock owner got rowdy and called my comp before I could even offer to pay for it. Thats what happens when uneducated people who have no idea how it could affect your future decide to act self righteous like they have never messed up along the way. You want details. Ok. Jumped from a 2012 cascadia ..in shop..to a 05 pete 379 on doubles turning radius ? Yea.
So I was backing in to a tight blindside fenced dock at the end of my 14. So my drive wheel rubbed the post and the dock guy ran and told the owner. Long story short gave me some crap called my company and its on there now. The only thing I could do is refuse loads going to that location. Zero damage. Me...lots of damage its crazy.airforcetoo Thanks this. -

There is a company in Canada called The Professional Drivers Bureau of Canada that is very similar to DAC.
They are currently under investigation by the privacy commissioner of Alberta for illegally dusclosing drivers information.
Iam sure if drivers held DAC to the same level of scrutiny as drivers did with TPDBOC.......you would have far fewer issues with unscrupulous companies. -
I remember another driver backing into a spot and backed into the back of my trailer. No damage. Since I'm not an A-hole. I told him don't worry about it. a pick up truck rear ended me coming off the GWB in NJ. His front bumper was hanging off but he didn't do any damage to my safety guard. Told him sorry about his truck but I won't report since there is no damage to my trailer. All of the non DOT incidences I could have paid out of pocket and not felt it much but you never can trust people. They take your money and go down the road and call you in anyway. I make the case that some companies who talk about driver shortage do it to themselves by black balling an otherwise good driver. There are drivers out there who have killed people in accidents or drove intoxicated. I feel as though I have received similar status to those drivers. Its rather unbalanced if you ask me.
