A friend of mine Have an old 1989 Thermoking SBII with a lot of hours and havent started it in a 2 years. He used it to pull produce back in 2011 and then He parked it an started pulling Step deck, but anyway He put a battery in it and it started right up. He let it run for maybe 4 hours the other day an the temp didnt even decrease a bit...Could it Be That The system needs to be charged wtih Refrigerant or What???

Possibly. Don't forget it's also over 20 years old and hasn't run. 24 years is extremely old for a trailer. There could be a few things wrong.

Sitting that long? Check for birds or rat nests in the ducts.

Thanks ....He bought it back in 2011, there was a compressor put on it back in 2009 and he has all the paperwork showing that the job was done. He is taking it to a mechanic today to get the system charged...

My money is on a slow refrigerant leak. Should be an easy fix.

My cheap boss bought an old 98 Jim Palmer Wabash and it didn t cool either. Well after 7 hrs at Thermo King and 1531.47 later, it too cooled like a new reefer
