I do know Northern Tool has a few guys, each has more than one trailer. Amazon, just south of Louisville, has a few too. They are on the van side of the house.

Is Mercer van division worth anything? I know flatbed and stepdeck side make good money just curious how much you could make a week pulling a van

Hey everyone. I have thought about leasing onto Mercer out of Joplin, MO. Can anyone tell me if this is a good area to pull out of or what's nearby that Mercer does a lot out of? I weigh 31700 , but, am renting a trailer and tired of that. Thanks for the help.

Not sure if your at the right thread or just trying to confuse me. The Mercer we know here, is out of Louisville,ky.
Mercer better area is Louisville, chicago, Cinn., Norfolk, and Maryland.
Here at the Mercer we know, the lease purchase trailers or you own your own as the contract is for tractor and trailer.
If you get a different trailer, it will weigh different. -
Thanks for the reply. I meant I live in Joplin, mo and what's leaving and coming in around this area.

Actually loads have been down coming out of that state. We have a half dozen trucks a day going into MN and all but 1 maybe 2 end up bouncing back out to WI for loads. The shingle company we haul for normally had their Winter Sale last winter, and that was the last time we saw 6 trucks a day hauling out of there. No major storms in the area to force homeowners to repair roofs, and economy is still too soft to get people to pop for a new roof.
Even after Memorial Day we haven't been back to the block plant for landscape materials.
I personally know I'm getting tired of hauling cheap lumber, and cow manure every time I end up there. But as long as I can get back down to Chicago, I'll deal with it. -
I don't think Joplin is quite the same area as Mn. But difiniitely not one of our better areas.
Though we have a lot of drivers in worse area that do really well here. Depends a lot on how long you stay out. If your don't mind couple weeks at a time out, Joplin would work fine. Not real hard to get back through Joplin. -
Thanks for the comeback flightline

Did you know there is an actual "thanks" button on each reply to give your thanks?
Though I'm not sure why it keeps track of the number of thanks a person gets. Maybe this fourm gives out awards for the most thanks. Or maybe it's just keeps the fourms more cleaned up.Blind Driver Thanks this.
