Me. $600 a week. Running 2800 to 3100 a week for 600. Musta caught me talkin' when I shoulda been listenin'. I have another week or two then I go to 29 cents. Let's see if they cut the miles.

$600 is not very much money for the miles you are running but its probably more than you would make at .29 per mile.

if you been doing your job your miles wont drop, lots of people will tell you the more you make per mile the miles drop, its bs,also they will tell you they look at a drivers pay rate when handing out the loads that's bs too, plenty of guys working here making good money per mile and get lots of miles : see Jfrogs and DC post they run their butts off and are paid well to do it

When I did my research on all this I found that to be a widely true synopsis - do what you should and miles and money follow you. There may be exceptions but that one was largely consistent. At the same time...... when my pay structure changes, so does my FM. I don't know if she is leaving or I am going to another fleet. Nonetheless, I gotta make the new FM a believer too...... a challenge cometh.
I totally agree. Rates and miles are not considered variables. When they have a load, they want it delivered...... nothing else. It is a business, not a chess match. Get the thing there and do it again and again. -
This is true. The more you get bounced around the more inconsistent your miles will be. Generally, every time you get a new FM you will see a drop in miles. I speak from experience since I get bounced around quite a bit. I have had 5 different FM's since last December alone. You have to get right on top of it and communicate with the Ops manage to make sure this doesn't happen. I've had to call in and have many discussions with the Ops mangers about why I would lose 1000 miles a week ever time I got a new FM. I never really got a straight answer but would usually see my miles go back up.

45 hours here in Nevada without a load this is getting ridiculous now.Im not a planner but it cant be that difficult to book a load with all the broker services out there etc etc
-
Doing local stuff until late afternoon when I should return to the Midwest with contingent load. I can see this week already beginning to suffer (miles wise). 30 here, 17 there won't do much on the totals line. Waitin' on a short one right now. That number does not exist. Huh?
I will go with the flow on the new FM for a week or two. After that I'll consider your mention..... It makes sense. -
USA doesnt want the loads because they only pay a $1 per mile. But, you will more than likely pickup a brokered load out of sparks going to the Tolleson/Phoenix area so they can get you you back east from there. They have quite a bit of eastbound freight in the Phoenix area but you more than likely wont make you home time this week.
