sitting at three j in grenada ca. my t/s guide said it an xl one. it is... abig dirt lot next to a 76 gas station. didn't see any resteraunts when i got of the freeway, so just grabbed a couple of cold subs from foodmart. wanted to get to the petro in medford or but had hour and 15 minutes left to go 60 miles. didn't want to chance it so pulled in here. was a big pileup with a tractor trailer on its side blocking all lanes. I-5 south just before the bridge going over shasta lake. not sure how many vehicles involved due to it was raining. hope noone was hurt. safety crew didn't show up yet when i drove by northbound

 

Sitting on the side of the road in front of the Sams club dc in Ontario, went to Porterville walmart dc to get part of the load unloaded, 2.5 hours after sitting I go and ask if there is a time frame and I get a response "I dont know they are at lunch" grrrr finally at 9:30 I get to take off, got to the I5 and near Santa Clarita they have 3 lanes closed and even though it was 12:30 in the morning traffic was backed up for awhile going at a crawl between stopping, I swear people dont know how to merge. Finally made it to this stop around 2:30 and the security guard wanted to talk my head off, dropped the load and bobtailed out to across the street to do my 10.

While I was sitting at the Walmart a planner sent me a message asking if I would please help with another Walmart load, I look at the preplan and it was sitting at Mira Loma terminal and needed to be where I was in porterville at 23:59
I said sure I would love to help if I could teleport and pick it up and get back to where i was on time, sometimes I wonder wtf these planners are thinking and even looking at, they could see im nowhere near Mira Loma. Wasnt too bad of a load either, was a high value and only 7k lbs, im guessing electronics possibly.

 

This just goes to show you, management is clueless as to what realy goes on. This is why anybody that supervises the worker, needs to have done the work.

 

they were blowing up my qualcomm and my phone this morning too just shortly after dropping my load and going into sleeper, I called in just a few minutes ago to my DL saying I was asleep "we assumed you would be asleep and it makes sense dropping at 3am" like duh why keep sending me messages then....I set my PTA for 13:30 since I needed to get my 10 and stuff. I knew the messages came in and it woke me up but I was too tired to care and the load would of been tight with my current schedule so i just ignored it instead of turning it down.
He told me on the phone they are overbooked right now so we will see what comes in the next couple hours.

 

I don't know if your qualcomm has the same features as mine, what I did was go into Settings/Speakers then lower all the sound tabs to zero. No more annoying qualcomm beeps and HOME MESSAGING and 'you have x hours and x minutes of remaining drive time' annoying crap.

512 miles to go, live unload, I hate loads like this, log violation begging to happen if they take too long or deny me staying there for the 10.

 

they keep offering me loads that deliver 6-7am tomarrow which totally screws up my schedule and not being able to take a 10, so I am sitting around until 6pm tonight then will haul the load, that will keep me within a 14 hour window to get there and get unloaded and hopefully have time to find a place to do a 10, im heading to a costco in Hayward, CA 410 miles or so, with traffic, going over the grapevine etc im calculating close to 9 hours it will take me to get there but giving myself a couple hours cushion since I have been getting stuck in a lot of traffic and accidents this past week it seems. Guess I will be doing night driving the next couple days unless they give me a load after this where I can adjust some.

Guess I will try to take me a nap here in a few before I head out so im not too tired during the night, might be a coffee and seed night lol

 

Not sure how familiar your are with Hayward and the East bay, but, there is not much parking available for cars or rigs. There used to be truck parking in Livermore, not so sure anymore. The closes I am aware of is that truck stop you will pass by off of I5 in Patterson on your way into 580.

 

Secondi Bros. truck stop in Milford, CT off 95. Gotta be in Aiken, SC Friday morning.

 

at a loves taking my 10. have to be qt first stop at 3am tomorrow with a 7am for final. loves is at !-5 ex 136 in tacoma wa. pretty tight to park. got up at 4am this morning in grenada ca to find i have only 9.5 hrs. guess i need to redo my math class lol. except for the few steep grades north, tried to keep speed around 60 mph so i can make it here. made it with 5 minutes to spare. i should've stopped in medford last nite, was only 40 miles where i thought it was 60. oh well

 

wolfy...expect alot of traffic in the bay area and parking does suck.only t/s i know of is !-880 ex 36 called sf-oakland t/s
