that sux wolfy. last time i was at that suger plant, the first guard said it was a live load. went to the second gate and guard there said its already loaded. shippers and receivers don't care why you're late. and they make you wait extra for a punishment i guess. i was an hour late here and had to call dispatch while driving since this lane i was on had hardly any shoulder. had to tell he i couldn't stop and do a mac 22, so she said she handle it. told me next time not to call while driving lol

All the rules that they go by, and that we have to suffer - even though it is not in our control.

We are the lowest common denominator in this industry.
    We are the fall guy.

It's a good thing that our working conditions and pay make up for it.

You would think you would be able to file a complaint with OSHA on unsafe and unhealthy working conditions. Bet that would get their attention..

Stafford, MO. Sure got far with my 5 hours available. Could have gotten a little farther, but the heck with it. Tomorrow looks like Cloverdale, IN. That should use up my 7 available. Well, with heavy load, rolling hills and headwind, all of 5.5mpg.

Made it across the border to Saskatchewan so won't have any hours issues. I had called the broker to ensure the PARS had been faxed and entered into the system, she said it wasn't, could I please fax it at that time. I asked her if I had to use the Coutts AB crossing (Swift route) which was going to be about 100 miles more than the load pays. She said I could cross anywhere I like, just make a note on the fax she would set it up for me. Google maps and my GPS had shown a more direct route from Mankato MN to Calgary through Saskatchewan so I got approval to cross there.

Now for the part why I hate coming to Canada. First they interview you at the border, one of the things that raised concern was why I was crossing on Saturday for a Tuesday delivery. So they made me back up to a dock and they searched the entire load, then had me take Abby out of the truck and they spent some time going through the interior. Then they frisked Abby lol. Everything was good, I am in country for a couple days here will call tomorrow to see about early delivery although I cannot return to the states til after Tuesday midnight anyway, but I might score a reload and sit on the north side of the border til I get hours if they take early delivery. Otherwise will do a 36 hour Canadian break and included 2 periods of 1AM to 5AM U.S. break.

Estevan SK, was shooting for Moose Jaw just because of the cool name but was held up too long being searched at the border.
