Random LTL Rants (all are welcomed)

Oh yes that reminds me of the school deliveries!!! BOOKS enough said.... In the Bronx NO ONE would help you at all, they would sit around and watch you... Thankfully I never did that in the Bronx. In Westchester and Fairfield counties the custodians were always there to help you asap, all public schools, and 99% all they ask you is to get it into the building with them pushing the pallet.

Now get this. I delivered to a private catholic school, 1500 pound pallet of cookie dough. First it was real tight getting into the lot. And while Im struggling to get it to the door all the custodians sat there watching. AND it was a PAID inside delivery, so while all the custodians sat there do you want to know who helped me. A mother who volunteers her time, she was depalletizing and helping to stack. now thats BAD

Just thinking about all this is making my back hurt now... GLAD I went onto line-haul

 

books? pfft...i HATED candles...every group in the area was doing some kind of fundraiser selling those ###### things.

Not back at my old terminal where I used to peddle. Everyone would be fighting each other for the extra overtime work. You could decline it if someone else was there. The old timers would normally turn it down, some guys where good and they offer if you want it instead as they really didn't want to do it but not force anyone else to do so if they didn't. I normally did it, extra money in my pocket

 

AMEN to hauling candles. Salt City Candles specifically. What a pain!

Wonder which is worse, Yankee Candles, or Mormon Candles?

 

I'll let anyone work my schedule when it gets slow. I'm lazy
