One of those retracting knives from Olfa (the ones with the snap to length blades) will take care of that strap quite quickly.

Gary Indiana is a murder capital. Always has been. I collected a few bullet holes staying there two whole nights once. Not me personally but the 18 wheeler did. Took some 'splaining. That was back in the 80's I have never stayed within 50 miles of Gary ever again.
With that said.
Ether is introduced into the fresh air intake of your cab which will be below the top of your hood in front of the glass. That will put you into a deeper state of sleep and unable to know anything or anyone in that cab.
I used flatbed load straps to secure both doors together in that cab when asleep. Not even god can get in. If they really want in, they have to break the windows etc and we will go from there.
Anyone breaking into a occupied cab is foolish, so it's not a rational parasite. This is most likely drug addiciton of the most dangerous kind. When a addict must have a drug at any risk or cost, his or her own life and values do not matter. There is no inhibition or right or wrong that applies here. Addict's mind is consumed by a overpowering driving force to get a drug into the body at any price. NOW.
If the addict goes enough hours without a dose, there is a very special medical problem that turns that person into a prostrate unmoving form slipping towards death. Usually another addict or user will "Jug" that person with a dose of drugs into the Junglar vein of the neck and wait a moment, the addict will get moving again, as if you oiled the tin can man in Wizard of Oz. He will die if you don't jug em.
I am not a addict or a abuser. However I have run out early due to holidays and such and have been in a situation of withdrawal where you must have that drug or medicine NOW at any price. That is a definition of addiction or dependence of the mind and body to requiring that drug.
Usually a refill is in a day when the pharmacy reopens. They used to fill a day early if closed on a sunday refill day for medicines, but that got stopped by the state a few months ago. You will refill certain medicines on the 31st day not the 29th day.
The entire medical system is structured by our laws against providing the same to addicts and those in withdrawals that might kill em. What they will do is shoot narcan or similar anti drug substances to flush the body of the patient and then if medically necessary, introduce Suboxone or some other anti drug medicine to fill the receptors within the brain and body systems so that if the addict does take a drug it will be violently thrown up.
Anyway.
This would be the one ideal situation to have a larger dog that knows when a parasite or predator wants in. And we will go from there.
Not too long ago in early 2001, spouse had run the truck into the lower parking next to the Jackson TN T/A against my express orders not to do so. And walked into the truckstop. Came running out to my tractor being chased by a sexual predator. She made it in, Predator got into the drivers door behind her. I woke up very fast and had a blade heading for that man's large neck which was very conveniently stretched out across where the shifter would have been if it was not a auto truck.
He fell out of the tractor all the way to the pavement and ran into the truck parking area like in three steps and the invasion was over. We got out of there asap. To hell with the fuel bill. Im pretty sure that got settled with the company if it did not go through, we would not be here. And we do not go to Jackson ever again.
Which is rather interesting. My spouse at that time is rather plain, a bit of a Marine that she was once. Not much of a looker on purpose, that's strictly for me. But the predator was driven to commit a invasion and a crime or two to try and get at her. Im rather happy I did not slice his neck in that cab, it would have been a mess with a few gallons of him splashed all over.
But anyhow. That's that. Get that dog into the sleeper and enjoy. There wont be a next time. -
I wouldn't stop in Gary. I'd keep going out to South Bend or there is also a place in Grovertown along 30. That place in Northlake along 294 ain't bad either if you need a place to shut down in Chicago proper but you have to pay $20 (big deal)

I'm glad I never can sleep like all of you folks sound like you do. Walk by my truck too close and I'm up pistol in hand. I've slept in Hunt's Point market back in the early 1980's when it was BAD, they didn't bother me because they thought I was crazy being a lone female blonde small you get the picture. Bad people don't like crazy people. Now days you have more dopers. I've been blessed most people stay away from me and the truck, of course I don't park in truck stops very often either.
