I made a rookie mistake yesterday and did not know it until today:

    Load header says 5000lbs.

    BOL says 13000lbs.

Tractor porpoising says a lot more.

So, I open up the trailer and yep....... I guessed 30,000 lbs. and stair cased downward to the rear to about the 4th rib. So, I slide the wheels full forward. No need to weigh I say. I hit a weigh station in Maryland and get a green. This is easy, I say. Today, I hit a weigh station in NC and get a red. The DOT guy says stretch the wheels out a hole or two and come back through. So, I move it back two holes to #4. I go through the scale again and I get a green light. Hell yeah!!!!!! I bugged out.

    Am I lucky or what?

As it turns out, I did get a HAZMAT to haul me out of NJ. It went all of 155 miles to Manchester, PA.
Lucky me. At Ruther Glen, VA Loves burning a shower credit because all my fueling system crap has been Loves. Delivering at the Food Lion in Dunn, NC tomorrow, gearing up for 6 hours to unload.

Loads to the Food Lion in Dunn can be dropped and they usually send us the Campbell's in Maxton to reload. Most of the Campbell's loads are pretty good for miles.

At least the load wasn't going to Neville Island or Pittsburgh. I hate the whole Pittsburgh area. As many times as I've been there I still don't know how to get across that river. I usually find my way across by some twist of faith.

I am going to try to drop it, but I think I tried the same last time with this same load and they wouldn't let me. It's a mixing center load from Greencastle pa I think that had something to do with it last time. Hoping for a Campbell's load next that's what happened last time an it took me 1.2k out.
Pittsburgh does suck, I remember sweating bullets trying to get to Bay Valley foods the first time.
