Tacoma, WA at the Love's near the port.
Sumner terminal was crazy full, so I just got a trailer marker light replaced and headed here.
This place isn't much better.
No pplan yet.
Good night from...

moose... yeah thats place is pretty tight to back into. i had a heck of a time backing into a spot. afraid i was gonna hit tractor in front of me lol. was early evening, though it was dark and was almost full
-
most truck stops tend to get pretty full it seems as soon as dark starts hitting.
I was assigned a trailer and said go to row A or B, after over 30min driving all over Phoenix terminal looking for this trailer I go to the window and tell them I cant find it, "oh its at Petsmart down the road, can you go get it" sigh
They need to learn to assign or tell people where something really is instead of wasting my time, will head out here in 1.5 hours or so and get my trailer then head to Lake Havasu, time is for 10pm but I should be getting there by 8 if traffic goes well and can see if its ready since its a preloaded then head on out for Pueblo, CO -
Flying J. Took my nice little SSD class this morning, got back to my truck, and a nice little red sticker on the trailer, OOS, tire. Got that taken care of and booked it down here. PPLA, pu t-call in gary and back to St. Paul. So much for my DM saying that he was going to take care of me. Load assign says apt 0700. Then says FCFS 0800-1600. Guess what time I get there. Tired of showing up for so called appts on FCFS and gates are locked and sitting on road or place just not open.

Deadheaded from phoenix to Lake havasu for a load going to Pueblo, CO
Stopped at a closed weigh station before Gallup, almost 5am and im too tired to drive the last 1.5 hours, leaves me a little over 500 miles to drive when I wake up to get to my drop, hopefully everything goes smooth with no bad traffic etc. -
wolfy..thats the reason i stay on days shift. my bedtime starts calling around 11pm. i'm not much of a night person anyways.

Finally got out of Missoula Montana. Was sitting next to a Swift company driver shooting the breeze, got a load offer, reposition to Lewiston 212 some odd miles. I turned it down because the route requires a special permit through Idaho plus Swift forbids using that route anyways-- what are the planners thinking, I will go the long way around and eat the fuel? This is Tuesday this happens, I already know what my paycheck is going to be, no way am I reducing it to reposition so I can put some of my paycheck in the tanks.
Got chastised a little bit for turning it down but lo and behold they got me a load out of the north state to Seattle area. The other driver got a load a couple hours away going to Laredo. I started my pretrip and was ready to bounce when he came up all panicky that there was nowhere for me to park up there, that I should wait til morning then go lol. I got up there and parked right across the street from the shipper in the Office Max lot, nobody bothered me.
Seattle area now, hearing 76 loads short may scoot down to the south state and visit with the folks.Last edited: Jul 11, 2013
