Where, OH, Where........

Sitting at the house,just went out and had a nice dinner with the wife.Miles to me mean half of what they use too.Enjoying my time with my family every other weekend is way more important than any 3000 plus mile weeks I could ever get .I for once have my priorities right,Family first,then work.Has not always been this way.I use to be like DCstrong and think that all there was to life was working and running 11 hours every day and having to wait till midnight so I could run again then I figured it out ,so much more to life than that

 

it will get better EZmed,i started here straight out of C1 and it was rough for me back then too,if you have a good attitude and are dependable things will work out for ya,Dc has been here about the same amount of time I have and he is doing quite well.If things get to a point that you have to make a change in one form or another you will have plenty of options.Its not all about the money with me,i could go anywhere and drive for anyone at this point.My Dac is clean,my CSA score is 0, I have never had a DOT violation of any kind in 6 years of driving for USA,i just like working for them.I have had 4 fleet mgrs. in 6 years.Two of em moved up the food chain within the company,one retired and my current one.I have had excellent relationships with each

 

Just because your priorities are to be home often doesn't mean everybody's priorities should be the same. I have just as much time off as you do I just dont put priority on trying to get home often. Also, my savings account has gone up $22,000 per year for the last 4 years just off of my work income alone not to mention saving off of various investments. I'm sure you will have to work until you drop dead but my early retirement is not that far down the road and I'm still younger than you. You are probably just like most truckers. You probably have a nagging wife that wants you home all the time.

I was just making a comment about drivers in general. If I had said "you have a nagging wife" then that might have been an attack but what I said was "you probably have a nagging wife".
