And no details are needed. Any company can be good in the good times or SAY they're good in the bad times. It's how they perform in the not-so-good times that really show a company's colors. I'm glad you had a good experience.

So tell me, if the trailer was a good 30 degrees higher than it should have been why did it even leave the property. Was it Purdue's fault they loaded it or your fault it left. You've got to pretrip those reefers my friend.

Hmm what to do in Tucumcari is the least of my problems, I am more concerned about Nogales AZ and only 1 truck stop there. ANyone got any pointers for Nogales? Is there plentiful parking, do I need an armed pitbull with aids on board? I have heard some horror stories about that place. nogales, one small pilot truck stop, think Salinas Ca for size and congestion. Lots and lots of produce warehouses... Picked up grapes down there, did not stay overnight. I would stay at the Ambest, Now a Loves in Benson AZ.

I was told not to pretrip a running loaded reefer unit, especially one set below 0, because the pretrip runs the heater and such... I don't know if that is true or not. If its not, I will start pretripping every single trailer I hook up to, believe me. I already pretrip every empty I run.

Truth is the load was late and I was in a hurry. I thought maybe it had just come off a defrost cycle. I didn't wait and watch the temps.
But they loaded warm product into a warm, broken trailer that was displaying a fault alarm, which they then cleared and left it instead of offloading the product into another trailer.
Perdue took the blame, and I'll sit in quiet relief over that.
In reality, I share the blame and have learned from the experience...Mus07_Grad and Emulsified Thank this.
