Scottie... Mac 30 will often put in the mileage from where you are when you Mac 30, not where you will be when you mt out.

Actually I emptied out in Seattle area then moved down near exit 21 in Woodland WA to spend the night with family. Next morning did Macro 30, was showing 55 miles to shipper (actual miles was 58- close enough). DM says I was dispatched out of Troutdale which is only 22 miles from shipper.

    Gillette, WY at the J.

I got a light load of cans in Worland, headed for KS.
Since it doesn't deliver until 07/23 at 0700 I figured I had enough time for a 34 so I could get off using the recap.
There is a lot of stuff around here, so it's a good place for a 34.

    scottied67 Thanks this.

Moose, if coal mines are your thing there is a drive up overlook of a pit just outside Gillette. There is a huge truck tire and scrap bucket you can park your vehicle inside for a picture. When we first moved to South Dakota we got a kick out of how big mining equipment is. There's also a coal mine museum in Gillette that is an open area year round, no admission fee.

[h=2]Coal Mine Overlook[/h] Alpha Coal, Inc. has a drive-up overlook available at their Eagle Butte Mine. Drive north of Gillette on Hwy. 14/16 past the airport. Look for the sign and fenced-in overlook on the west side of the road. The site also features a large equipment tire, a bucket from a loader, and petrified wood. Open year-round.

On a lighter note, my 20 inch el cheapo box fan burned up the other day so had to go a couple days idling the truck as the APU wasn't enough to push the air around. Swung by a Walmart couple days later and got a new Wind Machine. This thing rocks, only pulls 132 watts so you can plug it into your little plug in inverter but it really blows when using shore power.

thats a really cool idea, I might look into using that method sometime. will watch the youtube and see what he did, I already have ideas running through my head though.

I need to get me a new fan too, mine that was given to me took a crap, I found its the plug since if I play with it then sometimes it turns on for a second, I could always splice the cord and put a new end on it, I just dont really have something I want to destroy to do it.

Still sitting in Washington, called up and asked whats going on, they said the freight is slow here right now but told me dont touch my pta and stuff since im in a good location, have a trailer, hours etc. Bad thing is I dont have any dang food left, just snacks and I dont want to live on that sitting here.

Can you get into much trouble if you just deadhead somewhere? thought about looking to see what truck stops and stuff are south of me. If I dont get a load by morning I would like to at least get somewhere I can eat and shower.

Here at one of my little fav t/s in Fabens, TX. I am hooked on their homemade burrito's, Steak Fajita and Picadillo. Just before Anthony saw the diesel price for fuel at the NTS truck stop and quickly pulled in. $3.64/gal. This was .20 less than the terminal and .25 less than the big boys. Even here at this small independent, $3.74/gal

Not to mention, if Swift learns of the 'mod' it is grounds for termination.

Well, I won't get my 34 after all.
I forgot about the stupid new rule of 2 periods between 1 and 5 AM, and I can't work that in.
I'll have to stay recycling hours and take some longer breaks for this trip.
