The music/theme from "Jeopardy" just started playing in my head. Thanks Pony, just what I needed, something else to clutter my mind![]()

Oh me. I was told to get 6 crates at 65xx#. It turned into 2 at 1199#. Then I sat still long enough to easily wait for my phone to get me here. Then I was told to go get the other 4 at 5346#. Then I don't remember what I did next.
Anyhow by the end of the day I had done 7. Not many for a Friday.
Rolled in at 20:30. Had dinner. Won't be awake much longer. -

Miles city Montana . Got loaded early this morning, oats going to Mecca Ca. Boogied on down to the border. The CBP officer broke the seal and was having a look in the trailer when a North Dakota highway patrol officer wanders over to chat then decides he will do a driver inspection on me! So after doing the customs business I go park off to the side and he tells me to come sit in the patrol car while we do the inspection. He goes over my logs ( commented on how good my nice legal logs are!) then puts all the info into his computer for the rest of the inspection ( registration , driver license etc) then once were done we start chatting about how they usually catch guys cheating there books. I got some good tips on what not to do!
teddy_bear6506 Thanks this. -
And those tips were ?..........
truckon Thanks this. -
Yes what are those tips?
-
Mostly common knowledge stuff we all know allready. Just explained a bit more in depth what they are looking for that triggers there suspicion. I guess not really "tips" but just an insight into what they look for.

He said the big thing is the "realistic ness " of the pages. If its just page after page of the same thing then they question it because it's not realistic for everyday to be 11 hours at 75mph. Things like taking breaks around normal eating times eg if you start at 6am then most people will have a short stop for a coffee etc sometime in the middle of the day. They also know there area and how long it takes to drive through it so if you're logging 75mph up and over a mountain then it's not realistic. Then they will want to match up receipts or fuel etc. he said that's when they stop looking at the log book and watch the driver to see if they get nervous etc. basically he said he can tell just by the reaction to an inspection what's going to happen by the behavior of the driver.
