Don't really have anything to update. Been running pretty good. Only complaints are the common issue of drivers leaving defective equipment for the next guy.

Here in the next few weeks will be a huge golden star and my utmost loyalty to the company if it pans out the way I hope. I don't bank on anything until it happens so here's hoping for the best.

It's been pretty discouraging. I've been asking to run super-regional and get the hell out of Texas. We have stayed in TX/OK/LA/AR/MO/KS with one CO turn. That's SW regional. Yes, there are some longer runs and decent overall miles, but TX is a hell of short runs. Grand Prairie is still much the way it was before the merger. Operations and customer service crews seem to think that an e-mail solves all issues. Operational issue comes up, FM e-mails CSR and that's supposed to take care of it. In the real-time trucking world, that doesn't work.
I'm driving a truck that needs shop help, but I'd rather it break down OTR than be stuck in GP for 5 days while the shop does their incompetent best. Currently they are super busy taking old Link trucks and modding them for pneumatic tank service. GP is training drivers to do an oilfield gig. The pay is by the load, not hourly, so bad news for drivers stuck waiting at a well site...

Weekend dispatch has been a joke. They sure do like to lie to drivers. And the fuel surcharge sucks they are either the lowest in the industry or they are not paying us contractors the full amount

Srappdog I sIx the samething a few weeks ago about the surcharge. I have notice that the surcharge is around 45 cent and we are getting 39 cents. I was told that since we get a rebate at the pumps that the difference I tjinl that is so much bull. They are staying with some of it.

Boy seems with Arnold and USX involved it has not changed why I left years ago after 6 years was O/O thru the great lease purchase Arnold used to have. But when I was was taken from .92 a mile down to .85 and fuel surcharge cut and a lot of BS I walked. Now years later driving back as company driver and with a great company that is really a family company with no outside investment for last 80 yrs. If anyone is looking for a good company check out Millis Transfer we run mostly east of I 35 have big accounts in TX, OH, NC, WI and GA for those wanting regional. OTR will keep you moving and a lot drop and hook. Dispatch all from WI and no planners the planner is your dispatcher so they know how you want to run and try to match it. Pay is above average they are a top pay certified carrier and easy goals to get that with out games and BS benefits equal to any other company. Equipment 3 years old or less last 2 years they have the fleet up to 2010 or newer KW T 700 or Shakers for regional we now have over 150 T 680. Tractors have a fridge built in and allowed to put a 1800 watt invertor. Sorry no pets but easy rider policy. All information on the web site they have it public and not just contact us for information so you can see what they offer. Glad to answer any questions anyone may have can message me. Normally would not do this but know how it is being on your side. Best of luck to all and as always be safe.

Jtaylor. I was a link america driver to and feel the same way you do. A few months ago I had no choice but to leave. Are you an owner operator or company driver?
