All talk, no action.. if I was there I would have said. Hey, think I could get a pic of us together. Then all my friends would want to come here and have you for their waitress..

They might charge you with home time if you are within 50 miles of your house. I use to fight with them about it all the time. You can be sitting 45 miles from your house waiting unload and the somehow come up with you being at home.

Seems like I read in the latest (I think) handbook you could take a 24 at home without being charged. Ill have to look for it again.

I usually call it a morning but It looks like my current load is going to shift my schedule from nights to days. Im hoping to get a preplan for tomorrow that doesn't pickup until later in the evening.

I could have just made it to my drop tonight and dumped this load, but without a preplan why would I do that on a Sunday and leave myself vulnerable to the Sunday night crew... but I say Neigh, neigh, no way am I going to let that happen. It can go in after day shift shows up tomorrow.

I know exactly what you mean. I will sometimes do the unload or drop/hook and wait until a later time to put my arrival/departure call in; especially when unloading near a drop yard or terminal so I don't get stuck delivering someone elses load. You have to play the system.
