I'm sure most or all of you got the message. Truck stops are expensive so please call or send a breakdown mac and let us get you into a place for repairs....
Yep right, tried that, called breakdown about a coolant leak, was told have West Memphis check it out. West Memphis said it wasn't bad enough to worry about... 4 weeks and 11 gals ($15-$17 gal) of coolant later I get sent to VB for maintainece. Told them about the leak. Was down 2days for them to get to me and order the part. (Steel pipe next to radiator) and install it.
I really don't think that saved them any money telling me to have W. Memphis "look" at it. And then taking 2 days to fix it.
And I'm sure this happens often, so post it. Maybe someone that cares will read it and realize that sending us to the terms and having us waste that time really isn't worth it.

That is why I carry a good selection of tools so I can do repairs myself if the company allows me to do them. Much faster if I can get them to buy the parts and I just fix small stuff myself.

So what does "Truck Stops Are Expensive" have to do with the fact that USA's maintanence dept is run by a bunch of monkeys?

refuse to drive a truck that has things wrong that make it unsafe. notate the problem on qc and advise them load is on hold until problem is fixed.
