Going to be hauling/running heavy equipment around Florida. It will be nice to get the oversize/overweight experience as we haul up to 137,500lbs...plus, being home almost every night is going to be nice.

Best of luck to you Matt!!! Sounds like you had the same DM as my hubby... It has been a rough way to go since he left home from his home time.. Repowered right out the house and then his truck needed service. Took a day away for that and then he had to wait all day for a Bar S load. So that is another day that he lost. Now they had to reschedule the delivery times on the 4 stops that the load has. so a 3 day run has turned into a 5 day run. I told him that he better be asking for layover or something... I don't know if that is going to do anything but they need to do something. 1700 miles for this next week check. He will not be able to get another load and turned in before Friday at noon. He is in PA so you know where he will be picking up.. no way to get anything else in.. But maybe good start to next week... we will see...
I wish you nothing but the best.. keep us updated on how you are..
Be safe out there!!!flightwatch and Dinomite Thank this. -

Anyone know how much they pay for layover pay?

Looks like I will be starting on the 5th. Who is a good DM to try and work with there?
-
Most of them are decent. Clyde was good to me...Mark, Susan, and Chris are all decent too.Klown Thanks this.

Hubby has Scott... isn't that who you had as well flightwatch?
-
I had him until he asked me to run illegally. That's when I fired him and got Clyde.trucker1206 Thanks this.

Mark M. is the man according to Float...
Klown Thanks this. -
Different strokes for different folks. Float says he's great, but the next guy says that you need to watch him like a hawk. Anybody that has driven otr for any length of time knows that getting a dm that meshes with them is hit or miss...and just because a dm is great for one person doesn't mean that they will be great for you.Robert1981, trucker1206 and Dinomite Thank this.
