Carrier Ultra Defrost

    What would make my unit keep going into defrost mode every 30-45 min? Low charge, bad heat coils?

    I just had my low pressure line replaced about a month ago. When I look into the small window of the compressor the oil level is low...is this oil from the R22 or different all together?

    Anyone know a place on the web to get a user manual? I wanna figure out how to read the unit data correctly. I've tried Carriers website with no luck.

    Either you have it set on a one hour defrost cycle, or your trailer isn't well sealed and you're pulling a frozen load in exceptionally high humidity making the evaporator ice-up, or you have a hot load that is respiring a lot of moisture that you're trying to pull down and it's icing up, or you have restricted air flow across the evaporator or you have bad klixons (the sensors that tell the unit when you're icing up the evaporator by measuring the pressure difference across the evaporator) or you aren't forcing it to do a though defrost (defrost repeatedly until the water stops running out), or you let a produce shipper make you run the unit on an open dock and just froze the evaporator up completely (operator error) and then didn't do repeated manual defrosts until the water stopped coming out before you started driving. I suppose you could also have a bad ecm or circuit board but the other stuff I pointed out is most common.
