Sitting at a Motel 6 next to the Flying J in Ogden, UT. I deliver 2 miles away @ 1000 tomorrow and could not see sitting in the truck til then. Doesn't help that it was mid 90s when I arrived @ 1500.

Just got back from trying a Mac30. Got a message saying that "I wasn't eligible". My first thought was "WTF...over", then I realized that my DM probably moved me out of the 05 division because of what we're trying to do. Problem is he didn't bother to tell me. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Got back on the truck last night and going through the messages, one was from my DM while I was still on hometime, asking someone (not me) to come in because she needed to speak to them. Wow sounds like someone is in trouble. If it was directed at me, lets see, strike one, I was still on hometime, strike two, not taking an empty into the terminal without a preplan, nice try lol. My next load picked up in Sac so going the other way anyway.

Got loaded and scaled out, 34,300 on the drives. What to do? Throw out $500 worth of chains for a $300 load? Return to shipper and of course the blame the truck driver game ensued til they looked at the load and discovered the guy turned the first six 3'x4' pallets the wrong way which bunched up the weight over the drives. Got it fixed and reweighed, plenty of room for 75 gallons and free parking (extra bonus points if you know where I am). This is my go-to customer at the final they usually set me up coming off hometime, it is always set as a live unload and extra time on it, I always show up early and ask if they want it and they always take it early and always insist it is a drop. I set my ETA about 18 hours early and the system and my DM had a fit.

Could have gone across the river, parked for free and paid 10 to 15 cents less per gallon.

Wendover, NV, at the Peppermill lot.
Got me a new T-shirt, and they paid for my buffet dinner - but nothing else.
Just broke even via the blackjack table after losing $20 on video poker.

I was here once before, a couple years ago.
Nice showers, and CDL holders can get a 1/2-off buffet coupon.
I had a very good salmon dinner tonight.

they deadheaded me from Sparks, NV all the way to Hermiston, OR to help with a walmart dedicated route for the next few days, was a pain though since they wanted me to drive to the terminal to get a 14' trailer, get there and there are none except damaged so they told me to hook back up to the trailer I had and roll out, 4 hours later they send a message to make sure I bobtail into walmart *sigh* they said call if any questions, I call at 5:32pm and the answer service answered saying they were closed and business hours were until 6...
the message then told to drop my MT at a truck stop in Stanfield so I called up trying to find out where, after a couple different DM's they figured out it was the pilot and to drop in some dirt field behind it.
    Love these planners....

Tried to stop at the rest area before Stanfield, was one spot left and an SUV took it even though the passenger car section had just 1 car in it....then got pulled into the weigh station but no spot to park there either, drove a couple miles and drove up on a scenic point to find a single spot left so i took it. Incredible views up here looking at the city and looking up at the stars.

Anyone on here have a guess about how Swift routes trucks. I had a load from Texas to Perris Ca. I was routed west on I-10 to Casa Grande AZ then onto I-8 through ag land, main street Brawley, Indio then rejoined I-10 at Coachella. Per MapQuest, this was 45 miles and 35 minutes longer than staying on I-10 the entire time. What logic is there in routing longer trips when all you hear is save fuel, save fuel?
