a mixture of both works best for me.
Blind Driver Thanks this. -
That depends on the choices that you make if you do it yourself, or how good of a coordinator you have and his/her ability to know the difference in a good lane versus a bad lane.
-
that's what I do, but I end up with more of my own. I use the coordinator, but I also beat the load board to death. I call it being proactive and just waiting completely on the coordinator. I am running 1 truck the coord may be doing 50.
-
I try to book my own as much as possible. with one exception, I rarely look at the load board when at home. just too much I'd rather be doing than refreshing the load board. and ya, it means I miss out on a few loads,
-
Man my backside hurts. Kenworth Chattanooga just charged me $424 to change that 4 inch hose between oil cooler and water pump!! I'm even walking with a limp!!
I usually get my own loads while home and let coordinator do his job to try to get a back haul. -
I was quoted 1900 for parts thru fleetpride, I found some on ebay got next day shipped, then went straight to cat dealers and played one against the other for parts I was quoted, I finally ended up at 995.65 for all the parts worth a day of of my time to get that done. should be up and running by Friday morning. -
Nice going!! I was under a load and leaking coolant so I didn't have that luxury. I shot them an email and we are close to making it better.

Have y'all noticed your fuel discount lower than its been?
-
it seems to do that when the price rises or falls. been getting good discounts at the wilco-hess , and the flying j discounts have improved
