well yeah I prefer near home but if I was offered a dedicated even here and then if Swift would work with me to get me a load of something else heading home once in awhile then I would do it.
I hope getting the dedicated experience it might help me when I find the DM that does the fleets out of Mira Loma since eventually I want to try and get dedicated and be home more.
Good night from...

oh and on the split if you drive lets say 6 hours and then go into SB for 8 hours then you can drive the final drive hours you had, I rather just wait out the 10 and get my full 14 day back
I however had to do a split one time since they changed the time on me 3 hours earlier than it was supposed to be... -
got to lowes here in boise about 3 hrs early.com they went ahead and let me drop the load. here , you pull out the mt and put the loaded one in the same dock. had nothing but problems with the loaded trailer. king pin wouldn't release and the trailer tandem release was hard to. when i went to rehook the loaded trailer, i dumped the suspension bags again and the pin went right over the kinmgplate. had to raise the trailer a little higher and put a 2by4 under the lower jaws to lower the front part of plate so i could get it out . lucky no damage except for my ego. with all 15 years, never done this though i've seen others do it.

Yep , it's Monday .

Dropped the load I had brought to the house for hometime at W.M in Statesboro Ga. this A.M.
They wouldn't release any empties.
Bobtailed 95 miles South to Douglas , am picking one up at the W.M. here in the morning then
driving back up to 30 miles west of Statesboro to pick up a load at 9 AM ( won't be ready til then ) then drive 6 hours to N. Car and wait til Wed. morning to deliver it ( can't deliver early ) .
Not the greatest start I've ever had . O-well , like that sometimes. -
yeah I went to pick up a preloaded trailer the other day and the landing gear was way too high. I was going to be hard work to crank it down so I put 2x6's under the drives and pulled forward thinking I could raise the nose up a little bit. Forgot to dump the air bags and the wood just spun out from underneath the tires because the trailer landing gear was down. So had to go unhook everything, move the wood and the 5th wheel release would not give up because of the tractor's forward pressure so had to go back around and back up a little then get out and back in again then put some wood on the 5th wheel plate itself and got under the nose and raised it up. Meanwhile 2 of the yard jockeys came over to watch the show as I was pouring sweat and cursing like a Marine.
Glenwood Springs CO for my little 45 minute safety break then on to Loveland for final tonite. Colorado is on my 'no go there' list but couldn't resist adding 1000 miles to the 1200 I have already. Only 12 hours left after del tonite so looking for a shorty 200-400 picking up Tues delivery Wed for pay period cutoff. -
Goodend, KS. So that I can get this load del before cutoff, going to have to do something that I have not done in a long time, 10 on, then 10 off, 10 on and 10 off then 3 on. The last two in one day. Oh Wolfy, I will not ever to a surge for Wal-Mart ever again. Not ever.
-

Wolfyinc, have you read anything from the Melton section here? I hear a lot of drivers complaining about excessive sitting. Do your research before moving on. I don't know anything about JB, except I kept seeing those paper toilet covers labeled as JB Hunt Cowboy hats, LOL! Don't think I'd work for the Blue Wiener, either.
