People of Detroit wouldn't want Knight to buy it either. But you are right, he probably posted that in the detroit News paper.

Its hard to believe people are still giving this guy any attention. I started this thread and have been pretty down on USA trucks financial position for years and I know that if any buy out was in the works this guy wouldn't know until everyone else knew.

Amen to that. Without mentioning names, some people have way too much time on their hands to be on this site literally 2-3 times an hour every day, after claiming their miles are so wonderful. I'm a driver, not a shill...I don't average 2500-3000 miles a week, for me it's more like 1800 and this site is an occasional thing for me to browse because I simply don't have the desire or time to be on here daily. I used to be a proud USA driver, but that changed once I realized that the company doesn't give one rats arse what my paychecks look like, they only care that a driver spends 6 hours on that 60 mile grocery load that seems to be so common. They're called bottom-feeders for a reason...because they want you to starve

Don't blame the guy for staying at USA. Choosing a trucking company is not an easy task. They all feed you lines of BS. Changing jobs is exhausting. Get on the QC and tell them you quit and ask them where you should take the truck. Then go where they tell you, clean your truck out. Go to the house of maybe strait to orientation of the new company. Either way your looking at a couple of weeks at least of low pay. After 5 years this guy has 2 weeks vacation. Its easier said than done. Then you get to the new company and find out they were just feeding you BS as well.Thomas0810 Thanks this.

Let's just say it's not by choice at this point. Without going into detail (to protect my anonymity), I have a financial obligation that they are making impossible to fulfill. It's not a lease or a student loan

There really are very few trucking companies that are going to be really good for the driver. From the drivers that I talk to Walmart is the gold standard. Pretty much we'll get the same results with most companies, just different lies and BS...so we decide on which line of bs we can deal with the best. Across the board I think 35k-40k is the best we can hope for as a solo otr, the trucking companies have it all figured out

I hit over $50, 000 solo every year right here with USA and I don't have my nose up anyones rear end and I'm not particularly well liked around here either. You just have a few things to figure out.Thomas0810, J_FROG and RetiredSarge Thank this.
