delivered the load to georgia pacific in halsey or. got a preplan to p/u tomorrow mornimng and deliveer in modesto omn the 25th. have only 9 hrs available tomorrow and none the next day. so i sent mac 9 with days and hrs i can do it and its taken off. called dl and explained about my hours and i said i was gonna head to nearest truckstop and do a 34 hr reset. he reeset my pta for 0700 on 08/25. went to t/a in coburg or and saw they has a motel. so decided to get a room to enjoy my 34 lol. been on the truck since june 19, so needed a break lol. went into t/a and paid for the room. went back to truck to get my clothes and driver couple spots over came over and said someone hit corner of my trailer while he was pulling in next to me. witness said he talked to the guy and pointed out the damage but the guy took off. witness got name of company and truck number. he told me he would be here overnite if i needed him as a witness said hell yeah. called the local police and they came out and took report from witness and took all info and took pics. was hardly any damage on corner of trailer except scatches where his trailer scraped on back quarter of left side of trailer. he must of done some damage to his trailer cause he left a trail of good size metal shavings from his trailer. thanx for the witness for being there when i wasn't. at least i know who did it and hope they get him. not worth it. spent about 2 hrs dealing with the police and with reporting to company.

wow what an idiot, for such small damage such as scratches if he would of stuck around I would of kept quiet, him bailing like that is enough reason to report it though. Most of our trailers have small damage so to me it wouldnt of been a major deal. But him leaving either way just gets him in so much deeper trouble.
Anyway sitting at the Pilot in Stanfield, OR, Got back to the walmart dc and they released me, said they released all of Swift today since the 4 weeks of loads turned into 1 and they ran out of surge....
So lets see if I get a load out of here being a weekend and it being Oregon.... -
That becomes a hit and run which with a CDL means they take it away.
I was just walking the dog and coming back saw about a 6 inch gash in my trailer. It was done a little while ago by the live unloader's forklift but he didn't tell me about it and I didn't see it til some hours later. I'm picking up a Walmart load tomorrow at Los Lunas NM, they have a full Swift office and shop there, guy said bring in the damaged trailer and they can work on it in house. It's way obvious that the rip was caused from the inside-out, I just don't want to get caught up in a preventable or even an 'incident'.

You mean I'm not thee only one they try to pull that crap with ???
2 months ago took a WM jit load up to Ohio with no drop number , after I got there
WM turned me away . Took 10 hours to get it , then Swift played games for over a month
on the detention.
2 weeks ago they tried it again , i said no times / number = no take .
They TRIED to get nasty til I pointed out what had the happened last time .
5 minutes later the time and # show up...
I now have a nice impression of my forehead on the steering wheel ... -
on any incident,if theres no damage on both vehicles, i wouldn't say anything. but if theres any i"ll always report it. don't know what the other party will do and i don't need a "not reporting an accident". with this guy, i'm thinking he'll report saying someone hit him lol. trailer i have is an old ms carrier and has been beat up pretty good in the past. hope they get this guy

At a small truck stop on i35 exit 140 just 135 miles from my tcall in Laredo but my 70 caught me due to commute traffic going through Houston. So doing a 34 that finishes up at 5 am. On a brighter note got a job offer for a local bulk carrier pays 31% load and home daily. Thinking it over and will let my treatment from swift the next two weeks make the decision for me.

Sitting at the Loves in Las Cruces, NM. They've got a tiny little lot in this place. It kind of reminds me of the Pilot in Troutville, VA off I81, but it's not quite that tight though. Gonna head for Yuma, AZ after I finish my 10 and then wrap up this load and deliver in LA Monday morning.

Here in Big Springs, NE. What a difference in weather. Yesterday in the 70's and now in the 100's. This morning actually had to put on a small jacket. It was 50 when I awoke.
