You're not going to make more than 5-600 a week at Schneider...ever. They've dived into the dumpster head first over the last few years. They want the best BUT the best won't work for chump change. I would go with them but for just as long as it takes to get a better job. They have a Costco dedicated out of Dallas that will get you home nightly. Go with Fed Ex and you won't know how to back up and that will hurt you in the future.
Schneider or FedEx Ground ?

I'm just looking for advice, I am on unemployment so I am in no hurry to find work, but the longer I sit the longer my skills from school fade away.
-
I've applied to the Costco account and already spoke to the recruiter about it but they said you may not make as much as regional, I know not to believe everything the recruiter says.
-
Really? I gross $1000-$1150 a week. Of course that's when I'm out 7 days a week.
-
Schneider! Good company to start with and lots of opportunity if you stay.
-
So you net $750 to $850 a week? Not bad if you only work 5 days but for seven days on the road you should be bringing home a $1000 a week. Actually you should make a lot more than that but with so many bottom feeders paying peanuts everybody else follows.
Like what? Doing the same job as others but for less money?Arkansas Frost Thanks this. -

I would have to say, The consciences is Go With Schneider, I happen to see alot of Fed Ex Ground Trucks on their sides in the ditch during the winter, Not sure why, I don't know i the trucks get tired and just need to lay over on it sit, if they get cold and rather then asking for a blanket they just lay over on their side or if the drivers don't know what they are doing and make a sudden maneuver. I wish you luck with this decision, I may advise you where ever you go, stay there at least a year, You will not want to move from them for at least a year, Unless the checks don't clear then is a good reason that you move. Take Care Let us know what you do.Last edited: Aug 27, 2013
Grimacus Thanks this. -
It's probably because no matter the weather conditions, they're always flying by you at 5mph over the speed limit with their doubles all over road.Dna Mach Thanks this.

Well FedEx motto is always on time, so I assume they deliver no matter the weather conditions.

Thanks, I am still keeping my eyes and ears open to whatever comes my way. I guess each and every company has its plus and minuses. I do know I don't want OTR unless I can convince my wife to team.
