Giving him the benefit of the doubt. Tire blows and rubber slaps the apu box several times before he gets stopped. Dents the thin cheap metal box really bad and tears coolant line in the process. I can see this happening. I've seen stranger so I don't find this hard to believe at all. But then I've only been driving 2 years so I couldn't possibly know anything.

I've been driving for 6 and it bewilders me how a blown tire could do that kind of damage. I'm not calling the driver a liar but I bet something was either ran over or he/she hit something.

It happened 30 miles south of atlanta so they came out and looked at it and seen that my tire blew out and destroyed my apu. I have over a year of safety here. I still have rubber in the apu from the recap. They aren't giving me another truck cause they don't have any. Since you know everything about the company I figured you would know that. I'm not trying to get in a arguement with you but why would I lie about something like that. If I hit something then I would have manned up and told them.

It might of had Herculaneum in it.

So you've never seen a blown tire where the tread seperated but only.came partially off so it was hitting everything near it until you could get stopped?
I had an inside trl tire do this. I tore the mudflap off and busted an airline before I could get from the middle lane to the shoulder.
He may have hit something he may have just had a bad blow out. Until I see the pics or hear otherwise I have no reason not to believe him. I have seen weirder stuff in my life. You should have seen some of the ways people were injured when I was an emt. They ecplain what they were doing and you look at the scene and still can't figure out how they nearly cut off their leg or were impailed etc....4thgenerationtommy Thanks this. -
That doesn't make sense, someone is telling you they don't have any more trucks, yet in another thread they post they just put 10 new to USA drivers into trucks there in Atlanta. I think I'd be talking to the ops mgr or even his boss by now. Unless of course you want to sit there and wait.4thgenerationtommy Thanks this.

What they told me was... There is open trucks but that they are for the upgrades and or the other guys who have been on breakdown longer then me. I know of 3 right now that have been sitting here almost 2 weeks now so they get first dibs. Its all good though. They are getting me a ride home since my hometime was yesterday and I get breakdown pay while I'm at home since my truck will still be here so I can't argue with that. I have to say usa might not do everything right but they will at least try to take care of there drivers as best as they can. I'm glad cause I really don't want to leave if I don't have too.

I said two times that I wasn't calling the driver a liar. I just find what he is saying very hard to believe. You guys either can't read or just like to argue.

Heck when I was with Werner I had a right front steer tire blow and it totally destroyed the fender and since it had a plastic bumper mounts on the Cascadia, it broke the mount to the front bumper. I ask the mechanic and he said when tires blow they can do tremendous damage. He said he saw one that not only busted the front fender, it busted the fuel tank connector hoses. So I believe that a blowout could do that. This is based on my observations and personal experience.
I am in Cottondale, FL at the Loves. Headed to Katy, TX....Thomas0810 Thanks this.
