For over 4 years I have done all my quarterly safety training on line and received $25 for the time it took me. Well I just saw my pay statement and the last training paid $15. I called and asked if it was changed and was told that $15 is the new rate going forward. So I picture some executives sitting around a table in Green Bay and trying to figure out how to make more revenue. One of them gets a bright idea to reduce the rate they pay us for thier mandatory training. Lets take $10 every quarter from the drivers, everyone agreed and once again we the drivers get done wrong. REAL NICE SCHNEIDER.

That is cheap indeed......yep, that's a good way to build retention AND fill empty seats. Also a good way to get newbies to apply.

And they say drivers are stupid...... geeze.

I don't know why a lot of people in trucking really believe that they are getting discounts or a bonus or some extra pay for being a loyal clown.Believe me there is no such thing they promise you stuff like a the casino's do. "Gimmicks" its like that free two night stay in a luxury hotel crap it all depends on each individual interpretation of the word Luxury. When you look @ the whole picture @ the end of the year the people that mad more money got Less miles & the ones that made less money they drove more miles & both drivers Grossed about the same AVG. W-2 it is there way of teaching you how to be an obedient puppy. That's it. so if you plan to find a new employer before the recruiter starts mumbling about fuel savings and extra bonus & all that don't pay attention except for one thing The Bottom Line if the bonus and the extra's come your way fine if not who cares. If you Have 2 years OTR with a good record you have to have .40-.45 CPM in today's world to survive. Why? because now you are forced to set in that truck for so many hours sleeping or just laying in the bunk scratching and a sniffin waiting on you hours VS. Taking that extra time being with your family. You are basically guarding their truck for all those hours for free.why should you have to eat out of a cooler and live on peanut butter & sardines Sandwiches until you go home.To Make JB,Schniker, swifty Rich? every body and his brother raised their rates from the loaf of bread to the car dealer but the drivers still fiddling with .25-.35 CPM there is something wrong here.

I didn't even pay attention to the 3rd qtr sustainment "training". I just pressed random mouse buttons until I reached the complete screen. Yeah, they had like a 5 question "test" at the end with questions that even the dumbest noob could breeze through. I'm amazed they pay us $15 for it lol. It took 20 minutes of my time and all I did was BS with other drivers the whole time I "watched" it.

all of this over $10 per quarter. 4 quarters in a year is $40 a year. If $40 means nothing to you, can I give you my address so you can send me the $40 you care so little about?
