It depends what type of device he is using and how he is connected. It is possible to have a static ip address rather than a dynamic one. Phones and Wifi hotspots typically use an internal IP address and a proxy address going out to the internet. There are not enough IP addresses for each mobile device to have their own. Most home broadband services will have a static address on the modem and the router will assign dynamic ip's to the devices unless configured otherwise. Once upon a time you could trace a mac address but since ever since IPv4, MAC addresses no longer propagate all the way over the network or the internet. The first router will know it, but further on in the network or internet the MAC address of the requesting computer is no longer visible.

How and why would you know anything about supertrucker and beeznducks? Especially their ip addresses unless.......
