I was going to say the same thing. I dont have one (yet) but a guy at work has his mounted to the bottom of his CB antenna.
Does this affect the CB signal at all?

all i did was remove the screw that holds the sunvisor thing over the windshield and i used half of a l shaped mounting plate and put the screw through that and back into the truck so mine was mounted over the visor above the cab on the passenger side. never hada problem getting signal. even when the qc had no signal i was still able to listen to music up near winnemuca nv.

I had Sirius in my truck. The antenna was about the size of a half dollar. I use velcor to attach it to the top of my mirror, ran the wire down the mirror (zip ties), into my truck thru the dash and out next to the radio. Worked great. Almost never cut out.
Still have it, but no need. I have a lifetime subscription (not offered anymore). But no place to use it.

Sirius sells a small plastic antenna designed for inside of a home, I have that on my dash down by the windsheild, works great, about 2inches square.

If you need a 34 and are on the yard, simply wait in the wash bay line

I get a repower yesterday. I'm in Brazil, IN, and @ 10:30, I'm told to meet the other truck @ the FJ on 465 in Indy @ 20:00, and that he's 300 miles out. I burn the day and get there a little after 20:00, but he's not there. He's still 3 hrs away and his trailer brakes just locked and won't release. So I wait with a ticking 14. 45 mins later he's rolling and will be there in 3 hrs. 3 hrs later, he's still an hour away. He finally arrives and I trade my Jersey load that delivers Sun for a next morning urgent to Food City in Abingdon, VA, 400 miles out. I have 8 on my 14. Dispatch says the location notes indicate parking. So I burn thru the night to make it... with 5 minutes left on my 14. Get unloaded an they tell me "can't park here, get out." I tell them I can't drive without hours, let me park to get a wrecker to tow me to the Petro 8 miles away. They refuse and then call the Sheriff and the State Police to make me leave. I call Safety, who calls the CSR, who calls Tyson, who calls Food City receiving, who graciously approves me to park, but not before I have a nice chat with Trooper Dixon of the Virginia State Police, who informs me that SECURITY does in fact have the right to order me to violate FEDERAL LAW. He tells me that next time I am told to leave, regardless of FMCSA HOS status, I am to leave an proceed to a safe haven... or VSP will assist me in leaving. With stainless steel bracelets. For trespassing... So I don't know what I'm supposed to do anymore...

No one knows anymore.
Every juristiction enforces the law as they see fit. In the end, it's the courts that have to make rulings. Meanwhile, you are caught up in the nightmare.
The Feds (DOT) insist their law trumps all local and state laws. But states ignore federal law and often times violate it openly because they don't like it. (giving haven to illegals comes to mind as an example).
They are taunting the feds to bring this to court so it can be resolved and are sure if it is ajudicated, the state or local juristiction will win.
Sherriffs, constibles and such don't know the federal law and enforce local laws. So here the VSP officer was enforcing Virginia laws regarding trespassing.
He likely doesn't know DOT laws and may or may not agree on it's predominance over state law.
See how convoluted this becomes?
Meanwhile, you're in the middle. You call safety who quotes federal law and when you're threatened with arrest will give you permission to move. But of course you have violated your log, so this is reported to compliance who won't 'punish' you for it (you cleared it with safety first), but have to report it to CSA (by law) and you get points over this.
It's a mess. In the old days, you simply didn't note it on your paper logs, moved to a new location and life went on fat, dumb and happy.
Shippers and recievers don't understand (nor care!) about the law.
This is what's meant by the truckers groups when they say the government is selectively picking on drivers. In the end, it's the driver who gets the big stiff weenie. No one holds the shippers, receivers or anyone else responsible.
Sorry, it's just the way it is and reminds me of a saying my lawyer use to tell me:
"you want to get screwed? Go to court. You want fairness? go to a ##### house."Dryver, TLeaHeart, discodubber and 3 others Thank this.
