OK just to wrap up the battery saga, a little recap--

Doing a 10 hour break in Hammond LA, woke up to dead batteries. Got a jump start and ordered 4 new batteries. Total bill estimate $900 bucks ($100 for the jump, $800 for the batteries and labor). I asked her to drop the jump start charge, they would not so that is all the money they got out of me that day. Delivered in Laredo and got next load to New Boston MI. Talked to Swift shop, they wouldn't let me take 4 batteries out and do the job myself. My trailer needed work so I left the terminal to spend the night at Monroe MI TA again. Woke up with dead batteries again. Luckily my neighbor was kind enough to let me hook my jumper cables up to his batteries. Called Onroad to open me up for a reference number to order up 4 batteries at the TA. I went in there to talk to her, she said $149 each (1000 CCA) plus Swift wants me to pay for an electrical charge system check. So quick math says $600 for the batteries, $39.95 for the system check plus $30 bucks for the phone call to Onroad and tax. I still thought I could do better so left without the batteries. Made it to the final, they had to work me in, so jumped on google and scoped out Napa Auto parts in the vicinity. Called and was quoted $119 each (950 CCA) plus tax out the door. So long story short, $490 bucks and I have new batteries with a 100% replacement value up to 18 months and it drops off from there to 36 months.

Oh on a side note I posted before that my exhaust pipe broke off some time back and a Kenworth shop quoted $900 to fix it. I had bought a new bracket for $120 bucks and some tools. Well I had been going into random shops when I had the chance to inquire about some 5 inch straight pipe about 20 inches long, no one had it, had to order it etc. I planned on getting it next home time. Well in Matthews MO the other day during my 10, I noticed a shop across the road from the TA, so walked over and asked if they had any, the guy grabbed his 19v reciprocating saw and we walked out back to a wrecked truck and he cut me a piece off and only charged $30 bucks. I pounded it into the top section of exhaust pipe then the TA shop cut if off at the length I needed for free.

Anyway, good night from Napa Auto Parts in western Michigan tonight.

Just wondering, did you have each battery tested before replacing them all?

One dead battery can make the others seem dead as well.

490 sounds much better than 900

im at home for a few days, wife wanted some beer so went and got us a 12 pack and also picked up a 3lb tri tip I cut into steaks and marinated, decided to grill off a couple for dinner and had a few beers and man im a lightweight these days since I never drink being a driver anymore but at least now I can relax for cheap during my days off.

Lately I have been missing being a chef so im cooking while im home, tomorrow I might pick up some lamb shanks and do some slow roasted lamb with a roasted corn, basil and feta mash potato and some grilled asparagus, maybe monday do a feta and tomato stuffed airline chicken breast.

    Williamsburg, VA.

Along with a dozen or so other Swift drivers in this area - all of whom are bobtail, as I am.

I delivered a load to the Walmart DC and was told (in the load assignment) to just drop the load and bobtail out.
When I got there, there were 3 Swift bt's parked across the street. They had just dropped off mt trailers and were chatting.
As I was getting checked in 2 more Swifties showed up with mt trailers for dropping.
And as I drove about 10 miles to find a place to park I saw several more parked along US60.

If you are within several hundred miles of here and can't find an mt - now you know where they all are.
