Yeah, what is really great, is when the freight will almost fit on the line haul van. So fork lift driver takes a run at that last pallet. GUESS WHAT, IT FITS!:biggrin_2551:

Here I'll ad a little bit to this ghost thread.
Drop axle truck only us at GFS have this totally cool stuff :)) . This is a convenient way to make you're single axle truck legal. These trucks are not super common, and even in our fleet most have been sold off, however a few of the older Volvo's and Sterling's still have them however GFS has been purging the fleet of Sterling's because a lot of the fleet managers and drivers didn't like them. GFS is an interesting fleet tons and tons of 28' trailers all being pulled by twin screw tractors. A lot of drop axle trucks the company never really bought single screw trucks.

Anyhow if you look to the left of the refer unit that shine silver bar is the third landing gear that they were talking about to keep the trailer from tipping on it's noise.

The ones we had were just one bar, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE so you had to drop the trailer to drop the bar. Idiotic design to begin with, and most drivers would forget to drop it! I've even had one of our drivers ask me what it was...We had very few of those old pups left, but every once in a while one would show up from a line haul. We tried to send 'em back out as soon as possible...
