With my current fuel card I receive the cash price at my local TA in Rogers mn.
is it possible to get a card that will give me a bigger discount at the pump?
im just wondering because I see a lot of people on here that talk about some pretty good discounts on fuel.
im just a o.o leased to a small company and there owned by a massive o.o company. And they can't even get me ahold of a better fuel discount.
Fuel discounts.

NASTC (http://www.nastc.com/) has a discount program. They use the Fleet One card. I am not using it myself but there are members of the forum that do.
pusherman Thanks this. -

I have a fleet one card and I cannot use it pilot/flying J.... I can use it at love but there's no discount... My best discounts are at TA's and petros... It also works at a LOT of independent truck stops which I personally like.
Here is a website for where it all works. The ones in bold offer bigger discounts

I only use $500-1000 of fuel a week also
So what kind of numbers are you saving with the nastc ? -
We have been using RTS Carrier Services for our fuel discount program (rtscarrierservices.com). We were getting up to 40 cents off per gallon at TA and Petro through Comdata. But two things have happened in the last month:
1. Comdata is now charging $58 per month for the Advantage Fuel Program. It is not a voluntary program that you can opt in or out of.
2. TA and Petro, as of September 1, stopped doing cost plus fuel discounts. Whether you are using Fleet One or Comdata, the discount is now 8 cents per gallon.
We are now switching over to Fleet One through RTS Carrier Services in which we will get 8 cents savings at TA and Petro, and 6.5 cents at Pilot and Flying J. With this we will also get 15 cents off at Sapp Brothers, plus discounts at independent truck stops that accept Fleet One. Supposedly it is a much better deal and will give us more options.
I will try to update this in a month after the switch and let you know what kind of real savings we are seeing. If the cost per transaction is higher than Comdata, it may not be worth the switch.
Also, the NHTSC I have heard good things about from others posting on this site. You may also want to give them a try. -
I pay rite now the TA cash price at the pump and $1.25 per fuel transaction.
If these places charge a fee each month to be a member I'm not exactly sure if this may be worth it for me. but I'm looking into this more and if I can save 10 cents off the cash price that's at least 2000 in my pocket a year. -
It's a little tougher to do up in MN and WI ... but I can pretty much beat TA by 15 to 20 cents just by shopping around ... and there are times when I've beat them by over 30 cents.

Oh i hear you there but my freight lane is Minneapolis to st cloud. So i don't have a lot to choose from. Plus having the loyalty card makes it much simpler when tax season comes around with fuel. just log on and print off the last year.
