You're probably right. Maybe they just want to get their money's out of him first just incase he doesn't return. This will be his 1st home time so who knows.

I put mine in for next Friday didn't get any flack about it

I didn't get any flack for it. I actually stayed out 4 weeks (I started on Aug. 21), so the two week thing didn't apply. I won't quit over this and since it the only important date in my near future, I could care less if they do or don't get me home on time in the near future. Just disappointed that I will be 4 days late for an important home time. Glad it was not for a critical doctor appointment or something.
I guess what amazes me that trucking companies I have experience with so far can send me from coast to coast and schedule a delivery within 1 hour. For instance they can set an appointment at a consignee and I am expected to make it at a certain time, but when I ask for an appointment on a certain day for home time they are 4~5 days late...
It just shows where the driver ranks in a companies priorties....Thomas0810, DGStrong71 and Puppage Thank this. -

Overall I am happy with USA Truck. The hometime thing was due to some FM mistakes in planning, but they are human too. Believe me, I am much happier at USA Truck than I was at Werner. The staff at USA truck is much nicer for one thing.
J_FROG and Thomas0810 Thank this. -
Don't forget to start reminding them.about home time about 7-10 days out and remind them atleast every other say if not everyday until home.
Gold_Miner and J_FROG Thank this. -
I have gotten several call from management apologizing to me over this, so it does show they do care...
J_FROG Thanks this.
