Hayti, MO Just pushing my 70 every day. Have not done a restart in months now and seems to be working just fine. This morning the fuel was $3.65/gal. Topped off. Got north up by Jackson, MS and saw the fuel was at $3.88. Now figure out where to stop tomorrow. Have all of 420 miles to go by 0800 on Wednesday. Even though it is a drop, on the load, no dropping before 0600 and even on the bills.
Good night from...

On your way up I-55 take the IL-47 north to the I-80E and pick up I-55N again. Major delays 24 miles north of IL-47 on I-55.I delivered the other day up in Chitown picked up next load over on I-55/Arsenal area, what a mess trying to come back south on I-55, jumped on the toll road 355 south thought I cut a fat hog was going to take 52/53 shortcut, but every other trucker in southside had that idea too. Had to run the I-55 gauntlet but it worked out OK going south because I just needed to get past the bridge repair and first exit after.
Topeka Turnpike waiting for a load. Got a message other day they need help in Harrisonville MO Walmart, they said Thursday and Friday, I called this AM to see if they had something I could pickup/deliver today (Wed) for the pay period. Still waiting....Let's see, 1600 miles this week 1900 miles last week and 1200 miles the week before. Feels like a full court press -
thanx scottie but things changed since my last post. was filling out a paper log for last 2 days since my qc on last truck went screwy. noticed drops of water hitting the dash. going to finish the logs to take to shop when shop foreman called and asked if i was on this truck. said yeah, got it yesterday and got all loaded up last nite. was getting ready to bring truck over. he said the truck was scheduled to go to international shop to fix the water leak. said to go talk to fleet manager about getting another truck. so i did and he wasn't able to see me till 1000 due to some phone call. so i called my dl and told him what was going on and that i wasn't too happy. i did a mac 22 for this load and asked him if it can be taken off me since i'd be late and didn't know when i be ready to leave. so he called planners and had them release me from this load.he said to go see fm here about another truck and then let him know when i be ready again. so i finally got another truck and got all my stuff put in. older volvo with 4978802 miles. lets see how long this truck last.
fr8monkey Thanks this. -
having hard time getting out of this shop. next truck yellow brake knob kept popping out when i push it in. even popped out while going slow speed inside terminal. does it with full pressure too. not happy at this point. might as well kept the kensworth with the problems i've had with the next two trucks. wonder if its drivers not putting trucks in shop when they turn it in or if its this terminal not checking trucks out before giving them out

Rest area on I-57 south heading to Ft Worth. Yesterday, sent a pplan, 300 miles, Costco to Detroit, nope, 300 miles for 14 hours. Then sent a nice Laredo, had to decline unless they had a back up to get home, took it off me, then a 200 mile load to Louisville with a back up to Hurricane. Took it off me before I had a chance to decline. Then I called the broker, pu in Valpariso, and a back up from just South of Dallas going back to Ohio. Soon as I booked them, planners tried to get me to take another short one to Ohio and DH back to Valpariso. Yeah right.
Stayed in Dwight last night, and no problem getting to Romeoville this morning up I-55. Took IL-47 up from I-74 -
so where did I leave off, well I unloaded at the 2 stops for the load I got stuck on, got to the 2nd stop at 9:30 so 1.5 hours early and was docked, DL started sending messages telling me to do a mac 22 since my next load was at 12. I told him relax I am running early....went and got loaded at the nor cal beverage in Sacramento then stopped for the night in Tejon pass with 29 minutes left of my 14, yesterday going up the hill past indio my check engine light comes on and then just shuts down so I sat on the side for 3 hours but the mechanic got me going, he said to get the shop to do something about clearing the computer for the regen etc etc. Did a mac 22 since this put me almost 2 hours late for the delivery the next morning but all went well, they sent me a preplan while I was broke down to pick up another load in Tucson 2 miles from where I was dropping and said pickup at 8am the same time I was delivering, found out it had a window to pick up by 13:30 and deliver tomorrow by 16:30 but preplan said 7am, I adjusted times and got the load. Shut down tonight at the Pilot in Palm Springs and will finish up the 114 miles I have left in the morning. Hopefully they give me a good week, I plan to go home on the 4th for a couple days so want to get all my bills paid and have a small cushion. So far I have made enough to pay rent and a couple small bills so just 1 decent week and im set until towards the end of October.
