Went to the New Orleans drop yard to pick up load going to Texarkana. Man is this drop yard hard to figure out how to get into. All the roads say "No Trucks" and look too small for a truck. Had to call FM for directions.

Most of the USA drivers I see entering the yard disregards the "No Truck" sign and cuts down Dale Street taking down a couple tree limbs in the process. I take Downman Street to Old Gentilly. The road is in disrepair and looks more like a beat up alley now but its truck legal.

The "pot holes" look like moon craters on that road lol. Its a gripe to get down to but worth it. I don't want a ticket and with my luck the one time I took the short cut there'd be a cop.

When taking your 10 there you also have to keep an eye out for all the shady characters that come inside the yard at night looking inside the trailers for something to steal. It usually doesn't take them long to figure out that the trailers are all full of rubber though.

I've only been there once and am in no hurry to return. One of our crappier drop yards for sure.

Sitting at a J at ecit 109 I95 in Maryland. Headed to west point, va. Picked up in Edgewater Park, NJ. Uggggg.

Couldnt find the trailer I was supposed to pick up. Went and asked where it was. The girls in the office looked it up and it was pulled on 9/19/13. Lol. I'm late I think. She handed me the BOL for another load going to the same place and said for me to take it instead. I called dispatch to see what they wanted me to do. They said take it. Its bundled cardboard for recycling. Needless to say I lost to much time on the yard in jersey so I could not make it far after I picked up. I get to go thru DC tomorrow. Woohoo.

Probably getting a paper load next.

They seems to be having trouble know what trailer is where again. I ran into that same issue yesterday.

Vandalia for service. Haven't been here in a couple of years but nothing has changed except they now have running water for the showers and a FJ on on the same exit with yet another Subway.
