Okay so the broker i picked up from had the BOL going to FLORIDA. I told him this and he said that it is fine, they will accept the product, so head on down to bronx. We got in BRONX on SAT 3Am and the market was closed, which they didn't advise me on. So they told me to come back on SUNDAY 8PM, so i have been waiting all this time. The people at the market said they wont accept the load unless i have some kind of proof that it is going into the bronx market. THE WORST part the people who gave me this load, wont even pick up the phone, i have constantly been trying to call them, this is very frustrating! WHAT SHOULD I DO????

I,m sure you can sell it to someone

Call broker and find out which customer it's going to at the market them write it on the bills, if the truck sits all day because paper work is incorrect just notify the broker that its$500 a day for sitting with product on trailer. Don't deliver until they cut you a comchek for sitting. But before you do that just find out which company ordered the product and try to deliver.

Are you still sitting there?

No we got out at sunday 11PM. So how much detention should that be from 10/19/12 from 3 AM to 10/20/13 11PM. Also the dispatcher i got the load from is not pikcing up the phone. If i dont get paid what are the steps that need to be taken?
-
did you check the brokers credit rating before you went to them. also the usual detention time starts after 2 hrs on produce. Rates depend on what your hauling and the shelf life for detention.
