Virginia Beach to Connecticut, Connecticut to Laredo, then Laredo to Minneapolis

 

Im not calling you a liar but its really odd how some of you are getting 3 preplans at the same time. I understand Thomas getting 3 since he's probably going home for the weekend but you end up in MN and USA doesn't even hire out of there. But anyway, nice setup.

 

This does not happen often at all. I just got a call Friday asking me to do that from a load coordinator. It's a critical load.

 

I just ran Lancaster PA to St Paul to Maxton

 

Watch out for that lot lizard "Shelly" if you park behind the Hardee's there I'm Maxton. Lol

 

I got lucky DG ,my dm was off Friday had a ops mgr that over sees the owner ops cover my dm Friday he hooked me up for sure,i go home next Friday,wish we were planned all week like this more often lol.Its gonna take every hour on my recap to get from Windsor Locks to Laredo by Thursday,might have to get creative if you know what I mean lol

 

Don't get to used to being creative. Was talking with PJ the other day and 50 more peoplenet elogs are going online within the next couple weeks. they are putting the list together now on who is the lucky drivers. Class is coming lol.

 

Well made it to the maryland welcome center and got the last truck spot. Saves me $15 at the Jessup TA. Ill be here until aroind 3pm tomorrow as I don't deliver until 6pm in Denver, PA. Its about 2hrs away.

The 495 really sucked today. Took me almost two hrs from Fredericksburg to the welcome center. It was as bad as a weekday rush hour. Only saw one wreck and it was jist north of Fredericksburg. Oh well. I kmew ot would suck that's why I went passed DC today.

 

Its actually $20 to park unless you spend $20o. So you can either give away $20 or spend $20. Its amazing to me at how many drivers I see that choose to give away the $20. I just buy $20 worth of stuff that I would have bought anyway. Its not really a big deal. Screw the welcome center.

And its a piss hole. Last time there I had 2 lot lizards hit me up in the parking lot as I was walking inside. 4 and what I assume was their pimp hit me up on the stairs going inside. At the door. The bathrooms have been nasty everytime I've stopped in there. The parking can be a cluster F. And has been the last two times I stopped there. I only go there when I'm out of options. I NEVER go to the one inside baltimore except to scale out.

Most of the pay to park places I've stopped in are like this to some degree. Makes me wonder why I'm paying....yes I've heard all the excuses. Paying for security, high property tax in area, truckers never spend money there, etc....


So screw the jessup TA. Ill be just fine where I am. I got plenty of decent food and bottled water. Restroom is clean and close. Easy to get back on the interstate. I save money, eat better, probably safer, and quicker to get out.


Oh and I usually eat at the restaurant and pick.something else up to make the $20 in sales to pay for.the parking. I'm.not paying the gate guard.
