Scott ie you are at harisonville? I have been here since sunday morning. I ran one load so far for them. Sitting here waiting for another.

 

Well I bobtailed out to the J. I guess the party is over, I got an offer to run a load up to Calgary for Thursday. I called Harrisonville, they did say only 30 loads going out today (Monday). I was hoping to get a couple more loads turned in before Wednesday for the pay period to phatten up my paycheck.

 

Huntsville, TX. Mac 30 was coming up crap all night and morning. Then sent 2 pplans but only one was actually on me, pu some chemicals and take them 165 miles to Palenstine, declined and next comes 3 offers, all Baytown, 2 going to Ottawa and one for MO, not Harrisonville or Moberly. Took one of the Ottawa ones. I did not want to get anywhere near Harrisonville

 

glad im not the only one getting crappy ppl's ...LOL..just cant seem to accept 400-500 mile runs today...after sitting 2 days in phoenix I want to see something good this way...just lost a 2200 cali run cause my current load got rescheduled

 

after tacalling another bud load in mira loma, got a tcll load going to unified grocers in commerce. got here couple hrs early due to hardly any traffic(figures lol) and they wont take me in till 1730. appt time if for 1800. oh well...better early than late.btw...hope they unload me pretty quick,clocks done at 2200

 

Effingham, IL at the J. On my way to Shawnee, OK with another broker load. Good thing I got it because I was getting NOTHING from Swift, no preplans and NADA from Mac30.

 

Called my DM to confirm there were still mt's at the Ikea and he said yes that he just got an email they want 3 picked up and taken so I left home and when I got to Ikea they refused to let me take a mt claiming they didnt have an extra, called Fontana and they said to drive to the Montebello yard and see if I can find one so after a couple hours of fun traffic I get here to find 3 mt's. First I opened was a mess from hay everywhere so I decided to skip that one since it would probably need a washout, checked a 2nd one and a few pieces of trash everywhere so I connected to it. Called in to get connected and dispatched and I asked if I could sleep here, he told me normally no unless your out of hours so I asked him to point me to a direction close to the shipper I can park in the next hour to shut down for my 10. He replied "dont move the truck I will add a note your out of hours"
At least im only 33 miles from the shipper now, only downside will be the fun traffic in the morning travelling to Van Nuys so will leave at least an extra hour early and if I get there early maybe they might dock me, if not well just hope they let me park somewhere.

Only been to the Munchkin place once a few months ago but I got there 2 minutes into my window.

 

Tonkawa, OK. I am so sick of fighting winds for the last 3 weeks. Even with this light load, can not get above 7mpg. Was sent a pplan, 99 mt miles to Harrisonville, MO, pick up 45K and del for a live unload at 2300 on the 24th, 400 miles away. Nope. Not happening. Going to do something that I do not do often. Here the fuel is $3.49/gal, so going to fill up one tank in the morning, even if the end of the pay week. Was looking at the price in KS, and about .15/gal more, but then fill up in KS when mt. Was going to fill up until I looked at the IFTA taxes.

Sent another pplan, pu same place, again about 45k at 0100 on the 24th and del to Costco on the 24th. Nope. Not going anywhere near Costco close to a weekend. Will deliver that one and get stuck up there until Friday and then another short weekend run before home time. Played this game before and ended up with about 950 miles for 6 days.

Deliver tomorrow in Shawnee, OK. Called Command, nothing for tomorrow but the do have something headed for Denver on Thursday. If Swift doesn't offer something by the time I MT out I may commit to Command and take the rest of the day off.

 

Watching The Great Gatsby lol. Had a live unload earlier, but when I got there they did not have room for me so told me to drop and hook yay. Got offered another load to tcall for tomorrow in Lancaster to add some miles for the pay period.
