I resigned yesterday the one trainer I had did not show me how to go down the mountain's right well maybe for her. She told me to use the break on 6 percent grade I know that is not right. But I did help her get paid for 4000 miles in one week. Now I need a company that has training real training. I live off 80 in nevada any advice would be great.

Well that was quick you should have asked for another trainer if you fealt you didn't learn anything , and no even the school tells you to get into a lower gear low enough that you don't have to use your break, just low gear and engin break

    krazyhorsechick Thanks this.

Sorry to hear that, but i also realize there's a ton of trainers that all too often give wrong instructions or don't set good examples.
I'm kinda curious to know the whole details, going down the grade.
Normally, no braking is needed/required, but that's not to say a situation can exist where "some" brake application is necessary.

Offhand, I'm at a loss for other outfits in your area. Sorry I couldn't help in that.

    krazyhorsechick Thanks this.

I was told that was why we had brakes to use them. Im New but I know from listing to other drivers that you can go down with little or no break use. I think this person just was setting me up to fail. Why I have no idea but I won't give up. I just felt the need to get more training so as to not put my safety or that of other drivers in trucks or for wheelers in danger because of ignorance
