Delivering in Birmingham and preplanned out of Dekatur to Windslow, AZ. Looks like I just might get a paycheck this week after all.

Well, it's that time of year again when they start shuffling people around so getting a new FM is a real possibility. I get shuffled around every year at this time and just got moved again a couple of dayd ago.

Taking a guess the clutch needs adjustment. Sould not take long. Last time I had the problem I was in and out of a dealer in 1 hour.

Was at a place yesterday where another driver made a U-turn in a place not big enough taking out the yellow post protecting it, breaking the pole in 2, exploding the transformer. Then drove away and backed into the dock as if nothing happened. Needless to say there were multiple witnesses who where glad to tell the local po-po what happened and who did it. So he really didn't get away with anything. When the po-po talked to him he stated he didn't realize he had hit the pole.
I wonder where he thought the fireworks show came from?
Another driver talked to him and was told he was 2 weeks short of his year and had already started looking for another job. That might be a lot harder to find now.

    Thomas0810 and Reycer Thank this.

I don't claim to be a mechanic by any means. I hope that's all it is. I just can't figure out why USA doesn't want to take care of their equipment. If it wasn't for that I really wouldn't have any qualms with USA, but it's worse than pulling teeth to get something that's need to be fixed, fixed.

Well part of the problem is the fact that many of the drivers whine and complain about problems that aren't really problems. For instance. Yesterday a driver was complaining his apu wasn't working and he had to take it to a shop to get it fixed. I asked him what the issue was and he said he had an eng fault. So I pushed his reset button and saved him a shop stop.
Every truck I've had has had the manuals with it. If we take the time to READ them it saves a lot of down time.
I find that breakdown reacts quickly if you give them a valid complaint and don't have a history of crying over every little thing. I called them yesterday about a broken cab air bag and was sent to shop 4 miles away to have it replaced.
If you know what the problem is, tell them. They can deal with it better and quicker. Be a driver not a steering wheel holder.

Lol, they made you go that far? Who did you tick off? I went to pickup my load at 'GE in Decatur, AL tonight and they rejected my trailer because of some protruding aluminum on the inside so I called breakdown and they actually sent road service out to the shipper to cut it off. The new road service line doesn't ask too many questions.

    Thomas0810 Thanks this.
