Yes hauling propane :/ today I finished with 18 hrs...will start back up in 4 hrs

 

I like running hard but sleeping 2 - 3 hrs a day... working 18 hrs and starting again in 4 hrs... not healthy... I hope you can go back to a less intensive routine before you get sick... Wish you all the best Indra.

 

18 hours driving/on-duty, a few hours rest, driving a rolling bomb. Yep... sounds REAL healthy!

OK, I've got to ask, how are propane haulers not subject to HOS? It would seem any fuel hauler would be subject to the same if not stricter regulations.

 

I would guess it has to do with the oilfield.

It sounds to me like they've got a temporary exemption, Zen. The "Hows" and "Whys" of the way those are granted would be nice to know though.

 

Oil fields... propane shortages... it's all about the money... as usual...

 

The "hows" and "whys".... DOT/FMCSA do whatever they want to do... why? Because they can.
The same way they do with everything else in this country nowadays.... but this subject belongs in another thread...
