I'll be applying at Freymiller soon, how many miles are you getting on average?

I see that reading comprehension is strong with this one. No where did I see anybody in this thread claim to to make $4000.

On a size note I have logged 4100 miles in one week in a 65 mph truck on elogs. Burned my book, but I did it.

Also, whats so hard about averaging 2800 paid miles per week in a 65mph truck? Time management and keeping the left door closed. Not too hard if you ask me.

    PuritanProwess Thanks this.

i have read the entire thread, and it seems like the single driver runs are a lot different than from what i ran in the early 90s when i drove them...today, it sounds like the single driver will run east of texas and oklahoma a lot, and multiple loads in a week.....i called them once a couple of years ago, and the lady i talked to did say it would probably be somewhat different than when i drove for them....the absent of running the pacific northwest is a mystery to me, why they stay away from there now....they use to run out of there a lot.

OK, sorry I have been absent of the forum for a few weeks. Let me clear some things up from recent questions posed. As for the above claim of 2800 Miles a week and $4000, I believe there may have been slight miscommunication. After 4-5 months with them, I easily am making a monthly average of 2800-3000 miles a week. Some weeks I am WELL over 3000, and the next I may be under 2600. As you know, this is all in how the fright drops and the lengths of the hauls. This is why the tracking and bonus program tracks by the month. They take your monthly totals and divide them into 4 weeks giving you your average. Your bonus is a points system built on not only miles performance, but also idle time, mpg, recruiting, and no service fails. For the miles performance piece, the current goal to achieve 100% of the points available is 2700 avg a week in the month in question. I have only missed this goal in my first month due to it being a partial month. Its VERY doable. For this reason I believe that the other poster meant that he was looking at his monthly tracking because he made bonus and it divided his avg at 2800. This then brought him about 4000 for the MONTH, not each week! That is about were I am at too. Between 3000-4000 depending on how hard I push myself and dispatch on my behalf. I think he just forgot to say it was his monthly pay, not weekly. I am guessing some of the hardest runners in the fleet are actually averaging over 4k a month. I don't kill myself out here because I don't want to get burnt out, but I am happy with my 3kish. By the way, about the bonus program, its very competitive with its tier system, but it IS achievable FOR ONCE! About half of the drivers each month will be in the money in some way by design. Just run the loads you get, use the APU and don't idle, shift at lower RPM's, and keep the trailer snug up to the tractor when possible and YOU WILL make bonus most months. (Yes, running at the Cap Speed even. I.E. Don't have to drive 55 to make your MPG. Trucks are setup for MPG if the drivers let them by shifting right.)

Just for an example of the length of haul that you can expect more often then not. Last two loads: North Louisiana to the Modesto, CA area and then the Modesto, CA area all the way over to south of Boston, MA. As you can see, your weekly statements will be all over the place, but the monthly miles are pretty good! Longer hauls mean more efficiency, which translate into easier days to plan, less shipper/receiver stress, and higher pay in the end to your bank account. I won't lie, its not perfection or a vacation. They have had their hiccups with me on some issues, but big picture, they resolve the issues, I am happy with the pay, I am happy with the equipment, I am happy with how I am treated, so I am still happy with my choice to go back over the road.

Since this thread has died again, I guess I'll take the bull by the horns.

The hire out of PA, but not new guys. They require at least a year of experience, but call Vicky. They might work something out with you.

    65mph.

As far as I am concerned; I am still working my avenues to get back on with Freymiller. As soon as I can get back to OKC, I'm heading over to their yard,
