Here in my second home, Goodyear. Truck heads to the shop in the morning. See what fun happens then.

the tcalls always pissed me off, they have never accepted a tcall from me without a scale ticket from multiple terminals yet I also have gotten none scaled loads.....

did my normal Adelanto to Vernon then he told me to start hitting the Dinuba Best buy again for mt's so I shot there and got one then headed back and stopped at the flyingj in lebec. I could of got all the way to Vernon and dropped it but with the time left on the clock I had no clue where I would be able to shut down close to there. I know the McDonalds on Soto street about a mile away has truck parking but that lot is packed all day long so wasnt going to chance it, if I had just 45 more minutes on my clock I knew a couple places I could make it to. Ohwell rather play it safe and just deliver the trailer in the morning and tomorrow I should have enough time to do a round trip plus start my way back towards Dinuba and shut down in Lebec again. I wont attempt that castaic pilot since I have yet to find parking even bobtailed.

I think the t-call policy at all terminals is you need a scale ticket for any load over 35K.

I decided to shut down at the TA just west of Denver, with about 5 hours left on my 11. Chains required at Vail and beyond. Better to wait until daylight than to chain up to "get INTO trouble" in the night, and few places to park it if the going gets dicey. I'd rather start that mission with a fresh 11 tomorrow. With only 5 hours I know I can't make Grand Junction, especially with chaining, and nothing but small lots and rest areas with very limited truck parking in between.

Hope I can push 985 miles in two full shifts to get this JIT load delivered on time in the LA area. If not, there's always the option to t-call in Vegas if it looks iffy.

yeah its supposed to be 35k but they seem to pick and choose who has to have a scale ticket, I had to give one every single time, couple times they made me leave the terminal to go get one.

Loads coming out of Mexico will not have an accompanying scale ticket. Somehow the dispatch window gives those drivers a pass when they bring a load up to be tcalled at the border terminals

Well, looks like you guys are stuck with me for about 6 more months, that's how long my plates have til they expire and I am not paying for baseplates that I cannot use if I quit now.

Was home for several days, got a load to LA and now heading to Houston with a nice light load.

Edwardsville is the worst about t-calling. The shuttle drivers get a pass. But also with Edwardsville, they do not require you to have a CAT scale ticket because their scale will print up a ticket that they will accept. You can have a scale ticket when pulling into PHX, and if the load is going to CA, you will scale again at the terminal.

Taking a 30 now in Rifle, CO. I'll have enough hours to get into the desert west of Green River, UT tonight. Going over the passes from Denver got a little greasy in spots, even during midday. Temperatures dropped just below freezing, the road surface had black ice, and with this heavy load of beer bottles needing TLC I stayed slow and smooth. A few times I could feel a touch of drift or loss of traction. I don't envy anyone going through there at night, I'm sure it will be worse.

Yep ... Shuttles, day cabs and Mexican loads won't have a scale ticket ... you do have the right to refuse the load if it doesn't have ticket. A couple of times I've taken tcalls and kicked them back after I've scaled them.

OH, drop in MI tomorrow, then a 2 stop P/U broker load to Denver to keep me busy over the weekend.
