That's great, I hope it works out "screamingly well" for you!
Don't bother to stand on your head, just keep your truck and trailer from making physical assaults and batteries on other objects!

****** let this thread be a warning to NEW DRIVERS...if YOU FEEL you are NOT READY to be on your own... TELL SOMEONE....you dont feel comfortable enough to handle it on your own. if they have any sense they will continue to let you train, ITS YOUR CDL and YOUR livelyhood....if you go alone and make a mistake, its in a sense your fault, because you didnt speak up and let them know....you risk hurting someone, equipment, property and possibly ruining your career before it ever starts...
blairandgretchen and pattyj Thank this. -
Lucky you,

Tell me Giggles, how did you get so lucky?
Let me guess, you think out your next 5-10 moves before you even have to make them.

Funny how those who've had accidents think most have, those who haven't think most haven't. Obviously I'd like to think I'm not the only one, and that I can still become a good driver. Seeing as I am home (!) and have time on my hands, I'll research this and report back
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Well, tough to find a study asking that particular question. Did a little back-of-the envelope analysis on the findings from a trucker sleep apnea study. Of ninety participants, 30 had had at least one accident in the previous five years. So, not most, but a significant percentage. I feel better

(P.S. Participants were a scientific sample, not just sleep apnea sufferers.)
