Here at Mercer, I'm sure you'll find more than free advice. You should in time notice things like drivers helping out without asking.

I went with this one over one with a cat in it hoping for better mpg and lighter weight as well.

I see loads from JD that will bring me to 13'11" go into Ga alot lately.

    Is this worth messing with?

Mercer used to get great rates out of there, so did a lot of other companies. Some of the bottom feeder companies have come in there and knocked the rates down to nothing, not sure what they are at now for you guys, but that is why I traded my step for a flat earlier this year. I just turned one down out of there today, rate was not even worth breaking the trailer down let alone hauling it anywhere, that one was going to Georgia also, might be the same load you are looking at.

    There are three loads posted.

One step, one step/RGN, and a RGN. The rate would be so bad if the load wasn't so tall and with limited daylight.

They get alot of guys (oustide of Mercer) go in there, flatten the tires to get it close to legal height and haul it without permits.
Though there is signs at JD everywhere strictly prohibiting flatting the tires.

Be my luck, to try that and get there and it be tracks vs tires.

Or be like the guy who let some air out and pulled into the dealership with a tire popped off the rim. They were not happy at all with him.

I picked it up like that :biggrin_25522:

We had a driver that ripped the cab off a tractor by hitting a overpass :biggrin_25517:
