Some of the many reasons we are scrutinized, I was delivering some containers to FT Bragg and you know have to park your truck and go through the radiation machine now. Some buffoon, got scared and dumped his alcohol out of the truck while parked at the machine. Told officers he got scared and and just dumped it. I don't mean open the bottle and dump it, I mean dropped the bottles and broke them!!!!! I believe the driver was a driver for Louisiana Transport Inc. or LTI. An RGN driver…...

Can't tell you how many drivers I see going to their truck with a 30 pack. Probably gone by morning.

I like to drink - but never when I'm working.

    I'm a 2 day party, 5 day sober driver.

You're right - some drivers don't get it.

We had a route driver bring me a 12 pack for a thanks for a favor I did him. The problem was he got it halfway through his route, rode around with it in his tanker all day, and brought it to me openly carrying it through the truck yard, passed the offices, just strutting on through with a 12'er.

I asked if he was nuts, and was oblivious to why. I explained it was illegal to have alc. in a truck, but he insisted it was fine unless it is opened. I told him he might want to double check, and to leave the beer in the toolbox of my pickup truck.

That's the kind of stupidity that gives drivers a bad name.

The industry varies from a doctorate degree to Ren and Stimpy team driving. If the dumb ones don't kill someone they are quite entertaining! It makes you wonder why the FMCSA is so strict with rules but yet keeps allowing the trash in that causes all the rules in the first place. I guess they are desperate to move freight. :smt102

Alcohol and drugs do NOT mix with driving. Alcohol and drugs do NOT belong inside of the truck.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
